The Western Conference Final battle between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder continues tonight, as these heavyweights clash in Game 2 at the Paycom Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 PM EST, with the action broadcasting live on NBC and Peacock, and with OKC laying 7.5-points in the NBA odds.
Heading into this critical showdown, I am keeping a close eye on the star power driving both sides. For the home favorites, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams have been carving up opposing perimeter defenses, while Alex Caruso has provided a massive spark off the bench.
On the other side, the road underdogs are leaning heavily on Victor Wembanyama, who is an absolute force on both ends of the floor. He is perfectly complemented by dynamic breakout performances from Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper.
Wemby and SGA headline my top Spurs vs Thunder player props and picks for Game 2, so keep reading to find out why and which categories to wager on them in, below.

When looking at the NBA starting lineups, Wembanyama’s dominance on the glass is an area I want to exploit. He racked up 24 rebounds in the Spurs double OT win in Game 1, and I think he’s a great bet to clear 13.5 boards tonight.
As for Gilgeous-Alexander, his scoring prowess is what fuels OKC’s case to repeat in the NBA Championship odds, but don’t sleep on his playmaking skills. He’s the top facilitator on the Thunder, and a strong bet to clear 7.5 assists in this matchup.

In the opening game of this series, Wembanyama was an absolute terror on the glass, gobbling up 24 rebounds (9 offensive, 15 defensive) against a vulnerable interior. Looking at his regular-season baseline, Wembanyama averaged 11.5 rebounds per game overall and 11.3 on the road. However, his volume has surged dramatically under the bright lights of the postseason. Over his last nine playoff appearances, he is ripping down a staggering 13.6 rebounds per contest.
Wembanyama has recorded a double-double in 42 of 64 regular-season games (65.6%) and 7 of 11 playoff games this season (63.6%), establishing a remarkably sturdy floor. Given the documented struggles of the opposing frontcourt to secure defensive rebounds, backing Wembanyama to control the boards offers one of the sharpest edges in our NBA player prop analyzer.
Opposing rim protection, led by Wemby, has forced SGA to pivot into a heavy facilitator role whenever he faces San Antonio. He flawlessly executed this game plan by dishing out 12 assists in Game 1. During the regular season, Gilgeous-Alexander established a sturdy baseline of 6.6 assists per game overall. Much like his counterpart, his playoff production has seen a definitive spike as usage rates condense.
Across nine total playoff games, he is averaging 7.7 assists per contest. More importantly, in five home playoff games at the Paycom Center this postseason, his playmaking average remains an elite 7.2 assists per game. With the opposing defense focused heavily on limiting his drives into the paint, I expect him to continue spraying the ball to his perimeter shooters. At plus-money odds, backing his elevated passing volume is a premium value pick.
