Ontario online casinos dipped in revenue in April when compared to March, totaling CA$314.1 million last month.

According to iGaming Ontario, the collection of Ontario online casinos dropped back 1.4% compared to March’s $318.5 million, but were still up 29.4% compared to the $242.8 million the province did in April 2025.

Growth Rate Below 30% Again

The online casinos in Canada’s province of Ontario are still seeing big year-over-year total improvements, but the growth rate percentages continue to dip.

In 2025, the last three months saw year-over-year revenue growth of 42% or higher. Since, it hasn’t surpassed 34% and has been below 30% in two of the four months in 2026.

  • October 2025: Up $91.4 million (43.0%)
  • November 2025: Up $90.4 million (43.5%)
  • December 2025: Up $95.9 million (42.7%)
  • January 2026: Up $77.9 million (33.7%)
  • February 2026: Up $61.7 million (28.8%)
  • March 2026: Up $76.8 million (31.8%)
  • April 2026: Up $71.3 million (29.4%)

The total revenue growth has also been on a declining rate overall. Those year-over-year gains were over $90 million each month to end 2025, but are now settling in around $70-75 million.

Online Casino Wagers Continue to top $8 Billion

For the fourth time in five months, Ontario saw over $8 billion in iGaming wagers in April.

The province recorded $8.14 billion in wagers last month, which is the fourth-highest total ever for Ontario.

Dating back to December, Ontario has seen new records for wagers in two of the last five months. Outside of February, every month has went over that $8 billion milestone.

  • December 2025: $8.27 billion
  • January 2026: $8.21 billion
  • February 2026: $7.65 billion
  • March 2026: $8.33 billion
  • April 2026: $8.14 billion

Peer-To-Peer Poker Revenue Drops After Record Month

March was a big month for peer-to-peer poker, as the province set a record at $6.9 million in revenue. It was the first time in seven months that Ontario hit a new record.

April didn’t carry that momentum over, as poker recorded only $5.3 million in revenue.

That was a 23.2% month-over-month drop in poker revenue and a 10.1% drop compared to April 2025, when the province had $5.9 million in poker revenue.

Wagers on poker also dropped significantly, going from $183 million in March to $128 million last month, a dip of 30.1%.

Perhaps even more alarming is that the wagers were the lowest total Ontario has seen since June 2023.
