  • The New York Knicks now lead the 2026 NBA Finals 3-1 after overcoming a 29-point deficit in Game 4
  • New York is trading at 83¢ on Kalshi, making the Knicks heavy championship favorites
  • The San Antonio Spurs have slipped to 18¢ after letting Game 4 get away and now need three straight wins to claim the title

The 2026 NBA Finals picture changed dramatically in Game 4. San Antonio appeared positioned to even the series after building a 29-point lead, but New York mounted a stunning comeback to steal the game (107-106) and take a commanding 3-1 series advantage.

That result produced a major swing in the championship market, pushing the Knicks to 83¢ favorites while dropping the Spurs to 18¢.

The Knicks have seized firm control of the Finals. After winning the first two games, New York briefly saw San Antonio respond with a 115-111 victory in Game 3 at Madison Square Garden. But Game 4 became the defining moment of the series so far: the Knicks erased a 29-point deficit, flipped the game late, and moved within one victory of their first championship since 1973.

Midway through the third quarter of Game 4 – when it look as though San Antonio simply need to run out the clock – the Spurs were trading at 62¢ (equal to -163 odds) in the NBA Championship odds.

For the Spurs, the market reaction is severe but understandable. San Antonio had a chance to turn the Finals into a 2-2 best-of-three with home-court advantage. Instead, the Spurs now trail 3-1 and must win three consecutive games to capture the championship. Their 18¢ price reflects that difficult path.

Opening Knicks vs Spurs Game 5 Odds

The odds for Game 5 are at least a positive sign for San Antonio.

Sportsbooks have pegged the Spurs as -205 moneyline favorites in Saturday’s NBA odds and 5.5-point ATS chalk. The game total has opened at 216.5 at DraftKings but 218.5 at FanDuel.
