Ontario Online Casino Revenue Sets Record In May With $326.4 Million

Ontario online casinos recorded a new monthly revenue record in May, bringing in CA$326.4 million last month.

According to iGaming Ontario, the collection of Ontario online casinos were up 4% compared to April’s $314.1 million. It was also a 25.6% increase from last May, when the province tallied $259.8 million.

May’s new record unseats the previous best, which occurred in December ($320.7 million).

Lowest Growth Rate for 2026

The online casinos in Canada’s province of Ontario are setting new highs, but the year-over-year growth rates continue to see a decline.

Having been seeing 40%+ growth year-over-year toward the final months of 2025, the province has now been under 30% in three of the five months of 2026. That is despite record $300 million in monthly revenue for four of the five months.

• February 2026: Up $61.7 million (28.8%)
• March 2026: Up $76.8 million (31.8%)
• April 2026: Up $71.3 million (29.4%)
• May 2026: Up $66.6 million (25.6%)

The total revenue growth has also been on a declining rate overall. Those year-over-year gains were over $90 million each month to end 2025, but have now fallen below $70 million with May’s data.

Ontario Making Push to $4 Billion in 2026

In 2025, Ontario online casinos finished with a yearly revenue record of CA$3.15 billion.

That ended up being a 40% improvement from 2024’s previous record of $2.25 billion.

Through the first five months of 2026, Ontario is well on its way to another record.

Sitting at $1.54 billion after May, the 2026 revenue is collectively 29.4% ahead of where revenue was in 2025. Should that percentage hold, it would put Ontario just over $4 billion for the year.

Online Casino Wagers also Set Record

Along with the record amount of revenue, online casino wagers also were at a record amount for Ontario in May. Overall, the province had CA$8.37 billion in wagers last month. That topped the previous best of $8.33 billion in March.

Ontario has now had at least $8.1 billion in wagers in five of the last six months after crossing $8 billion for the first time in December.
