The oldest pro football team in America, the Cardinals were created in 1898 as the Morgan Athletic Club in Chicago. They were an original NFL charter member in 1920. The franchise won NFL Championships in 1925 and 1947 before moving to St Louis (1960) and Arizona (1988), winning the 2008 NFC Championship to reach Super Bowl 43. Canton icons include Larry Wilson, Ernie Nevers, Charley Trippi, Aeneas Williams, and Larry Fitzgerald.

The multipurpose facility seats 63,400 (expandable to 78,600) and features both a retractable fabric roof and a fully retractable natural Tifway 419 Bermuda grass field tray that rolls outdoors for natural sunlight.
The retractable roof allows the Cardinals to seal off the brutal 100°F+ Sonoran Desert heat during September and October, keeping the interior cooled to comfortable room temperature. The roll-out grass field ensures a pristine, natural playing surface without exposing players to desert heat.
