- Dodgers dominate on the road with an elite .792 OPS
- Tyler Glasnow brings a massive pitching advantage
- Expect a high-scoring game hitting the over
The Los Angeles Dodgers (80-51) visit Truist Park to face the Atlanta Braves (76-55) on August 25, 2026. First pitch is slated for 7:15 PM ET with coverage on TBS, BravesVsn, and SportsNet LA.
The Dodgers enter as moderate road favorites on the moneyline at -149, with the Braves priced as +139 underdogs. Below, I will set out my three favorite Dodgers/Braves player props to target on Tuesday.
Dodgers vs Braves Picks & Predictions
Pick: Dodgers Runline -1.5 (+115 at Caesars)
I am backing the Dodgers to cover the runline. The Dodgers hold a distinct situational advantage when traveling. L.A. leads baseball with 5.65 runs per game on the road, while the Braves have struggled recently as an underdog, winning just 25% of the time (1-3) in their last 10 games when catching plus-money. Laying the runline with the Dodgers offers great value.
Over/Under Pick: Over 8.5 Runs (-105 at Caesars)
Despite the Under hitting in 80% of the Braves last 10 games, the bullpen injuries on both sides point to late-inning scoring. Both teams are missing elite setup and closing arms, so expect both offenses to capitalize in the later frames.
Best Player Prop: Tyler Glasnow 7+ Strikeouts (40¢ at Kalshi)
I am backing Tyler Glasnow to rack up plenty of strikeouts. The flamethrower maintains an 11.12 K/9 rate over 39.2 innings pitched this season. There is no reason for him to slow down this pace against a Braves lineup that has swing-and-miss tendencies against him, with Austin Riley striking out six times in 11 career at-bats. Kalshi offers excellent value on this milestone.
Tyler Glasnow vs Bryce Elder
The Dodgers hand the ball to right-hander Tyler Glasnow, while the Braves counter with right-hander Bryce Elder. Glasnow has been magnificent in a limited seven-start sample this season, while Elder has functioned as a workhorse in Atlanta’s rotation.
Glasnow holds a clear statistical advantage. The Dodgers starter limits opposing batters to a .149 batting average with an 11.12 K/9 rate. His 2.89 xFIP shows why he carries a sparkling 2.72 ERA. Elder relies much more on pitching to contact. Over 24 starts, the right-hander carries a respectable 3.92 ERA but a lower 7.39 K/9.
Elder has struggled recently. Over his last 10 appearances, he has produced a 5.94 ERA across 53.0 innings pitched, with opponents hitting .282 against him during this stretch.
Dodgers Batters vs Bryce Elder
Braves Batters vs Tyler Glasnow
Freddie Freeman and Ronald Acuña Jr. have proven to be the most reliable hitters against these respective starters. Freeman boasts four hits in 12 at-bats (.333) against Elder. Acuña is hitting .300 in 10 at-bats against Glasnow.
Glasnow has dominated the rest of the opposing core. He holds Ozzie Albies to an 0-for-11 mark with five strikeouts. Riley is just 1-for-11 with six punchouts against the dominant right-hander.
Team Stats & Situational Trends
The most glaring mismatch is the Dodgers lineup’s dominance away from home. While playing on the road typically suppresses offensive production, the Dodgers buck the trend. They lead baseball in away games runs per game (5.65), batting average (.270), and OPS (.792).
The Braves score a healthy 5.00 runs per game at home and flash serious raw power with an 89.2 mph average exit velocity. However, their .257 home batting average falls short of the blistering pace set by the Dodgers. Both teams virtually ignore the running game, relying instead on extra-base hits.
Looking at MLB ATS records, the Dodgers are a reliable bet when favored, winning at a 61.5% clip (75-47) this season. Over their last 10 games, they boast a 70.0% win rate. The Braves have gone cold lately, winning just 30.0% of their last 10 games overall.
Dodgers vs Braves Odds & Public Betting Splits
Odds as of August 25, 2026, from Caesars Sportsbook.
The game total sits at 8.5 runs, with the Under slightly juiced at -115. Removing the vig from the moneyline odds gives the Dodgers an implied win probability of 58.85%, while the Braves sit at 41.15%.
When analyzing MLB public betting splits, a sharp versus public divide emerges on the moneyline. The general public heavily backs the road favorite, accounting for 84.8% of the betting tickets. However, 62.5% of the overall financial stake is backing the home underdog.
Unlike the moneyline, there is no debate regarding the game total. The Over has garnered 66.9% of the betting tickets and an even more commanding 79.0% of the total money. Bettors across the board anticipate an offensive showcase.
