UEFA Europa League Odds Movement Timeline
- May 20 – Aston Villa have won the 2026 UEFA Europa League final! The Villans won their first Europe trophy since 1982 in style, defeating SC Freiburg 3-0, behind goals from Youri Tielemans, Emiliano Buendía, and Morgan Rogers.
- May 8 – We have our two finalists! Aston Villa overturned a 1-0 loss in the first leg against Nottingham Forest with a resounding 4-0 win at home. The Villans head into the Europa League final as -340 favorites. They’ll face SC Freiburg (+220), who overturned a 2-1 away loss with a big 3-1 win against Braga.
- April 17 – Once again, Braga is advancing after overturning a loss by winning 4-2 away from home! This time around, they’ve dumped Real Betis, formerly getting +500 to win, out of the competition. Now, Os Arcebispos are getting +700, but face a stern test from SC Freiburg, who whalloped Celta Vigo 6-1 on aggregate.
- March 20 – Braga had a tough challenge ahead, having to overcome a 2-0 deficit against Ferencvaros, and that’s exactly what they did! After winning the tie 4-2, Braga’s odds shortened from +6500 to +2000, ahead of their date with Real Betis.
- March 6 – After surviving Fenerbahce in the playoffs and a date with Midtjylland in the Round of 16, Nottingham Forest has seen their Europa League odds drop from +1400 to +1000, opening up the possibility for a first European trophy since 1980.
- January 30 – Midtjylland continues to be underestimated by sportsbooks; despite finishing third in the Europa League Phrase, the Danish side are still getting just +4000 to pick up their first European trophy.
- January 23 – Lyon (+850) and Aston Villa (+280) are level on points after seven matches, with Les Gones holding the top spot in the Europa League Phase on goal differential.
- November 28 – The wheels have officially fallen off for Ligue 1’s Nice. With odds still as short as +8000 at the beginning of the month, Les Aiglons are now getting +50000, as they’re the only team in the Europa League without a point.
- November 7 – After four matches the favorites have barely shifted, with Villa, Roma, Porto, and Betis still atop the odds table. However, it’s Denmark’s Midtjylland who remains as the only perfect club halfway through the league phase. Hedens Drenge, who opened with average odds at +6440, are now getting +4000 to win the competition.
- September 1 – With odds finally out for the 2025/26 edition of the UEFA Europa League, England’s Aston Villa opened with the shortest average odds at +620, followed by Roma (+900), Real Betis (+900), and Porto (+1040).
