Best Week 4 College Football Games to Watch This Weekend: Odds & TV Schedule

The best Week 4 college football games to watch come with single-digit spreads and very different scoring expectations. I’ve picked five Saturday matchups where the betting lines give us a reason to expect a competitive game.

The noon window is the headliner this time. Texas takes the No. 1 ranking into Knoxville, and the night slate doesn’t let up either, with Oregon at USC and a ranked SEC matchup in Starkville.

Here’s when each game kicks off and where to find it, followed by my five in order.

1. Texas at Tennessee

Kickoff: Noon ET
TV Network: ABC
Spread: Texas -5
Total: 55.5

Arch Manning has thrown for 664 yards with seven touchdowns and two interceptions through three games. Tennessee ran for 268 yards in its 42-9 win over Kennesaw State. I want to see whether that rushing game can sustain drives against Texas.

Texas already survived Ohio State 24-23 before beating UTSA 30-6. The five-point spread puts another one-possession test in play, this time away from home. Longhorns fans comparing ways to follow the market can check Texas prediction markets.

2. Oregon at USC

Kickoff: 7:30 pm ET
TV Network: NBC
Spread: Oregon -3
Total: 62

USC is 4-0 after a 42-35 win at Rutgers. Jayden Maiava threw for 277 yards and two scores in that one, and King Miller added 102 yards on the ground.

Oregon is the one with something to prove. The Ducks dropped a 39-31 game at Oklahoma State before hanging 84 on Portland State, so we still don’t know which version travels to Los Angeles.

The Oregon vs USC odds have the Ducks at a field goal with a 62 total, the highest on my list. Short spread, big number, Big Ten prime time. That’s a fun Saturday night.

3. Ole Miss at Florida

Kickoff: 3:30 pm ET
TV Network: ABC
Spread: Florida -3.5
Total: 58.5

Ole Miss beat LSU 32-24 behind 363 passing yards and two touchdowns from Trinidad Chambliss. That’s the kind of result that makes you want to see the Rebels again right away.

Florida answered with a 44-39 win at Auburn. Jadan Baugh ran for 162 yards and three touchdowns, giving the Gators a ground-game threat to test against an Ole Miss team coming off its own SEC win.

The Ole Miss vs Florida odds list the Gators at -3.5 with a 58.5 total. That spread keeps this among the closest games on my list, and both offenses just scored more than 30 against SEC opponents.

4. Iowa at Michigan

Kickoff: 3:30 pm ET
TV Network: CBS
Spread: Michigan -5.5
Total: 38.5

Iowa put up 640 yards in a 55-0 win over Northern Iowa. Those aren’t usual Hawkeye numbers, and Ann Arbor will tell us in a hurry how much of it carries over.

Michigan handled UTEP 52-17, with Bryce Underwood throwing for 223 yards. After those lopsided wins, this is a better test of how both offenses handle a conference opponent.

The Iowa vs Michigan odds have Michigan at -5.5 with a 38.5 total, by far the lowest of the five. With a total that low, a turnover or missed scoring chance could matter more than in the other games here.

5. Missouri at Mississippi State

Kickoff: 7:45 pm ET
TV Network: SEC Network
Spread: Mississippi State -6.5
Total: 58.5

Missouri beat Troy 27-17 while getting outgained 323-224. The Tigers ran 41 plays to Troy’s 71 and still won, so I’m watching whether their offense can stay on the field longer against State.

Mississippi State is the more entertaining watch right now. The Bulldogs fell behind 16-0 at South Carolina and came back to win 41-34, with Kamario Taylor throwing for 251 yards and four touchdowns.

State is laying 6.5 with a 58.5 total, the biggest spread on my list and still under a touchdown. Starkville at night with two unbeaten teams is worth staying up for.
