Friday’s college football schedule stretches from the afternoon into a late Clemson–Cal kickoff. Indiana’s passing game and two very different rushing attacks are where I’m looking in the player props menu today.

A productive offense does not make every player an automatic over. I want to know how the work is divided and whether a recent big game came against comparable opposition.

Josh Hoover Passing Yards Pick

Josh Hoover has completed 37 of 51 passes with 10 touchdowns and no interceptions through Indiana’s first three games. His 12.73 yards per attempt is the part of that start that interests me most for a passing-yardage over.

I’m considering over 248.5 because the National Championship odds contender can produce large gains without needing an unusually high number of attempts. Charlie Becker is coming off a 127-yard receiving game, giving Hoover another proven way to move the ball quickly.

Northwestern has allowed only 25 points in two games, so this is not a pick based on a struggling secondary. The Wildcats also scored 41 points against Colorado. If their offense keeps the game competitive, that would help keep Indiana throwing.

• Pick: Josh Hoover over 248.5 passing yards (-116 at bet365)

Adam Mohammed Rushing Yards Pick

Adam Mohammed opened the season with 120 rushing yards against UCLA, then ran for 74 against Syracuse and 91 against Wagner. Those results make an over at 95.5 a projection about Friday’s workload, not a threshold he has cleared every week.

I like his opportunity in a game that should stay competitive. Cal’s passing attack also gives Clemson something else to account for: Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele threw for 413 yards and three touchdowns last week.

That production came against FCS Wagner, which is an important qualification. Clemson is a different test, boasting a defense full of future Sunday stars.

This is the most price-sensitive over on my list, and I would pass if the line goes up any higher. Compare the available totals across College Football betting apps before deciding.

• Pick: Adam Mohammed over 95.5 rushing yards (-116 at bet365)

Vic Listorti Rushing Yards Pick

I lean under 50.5 for Vic Listorti, but it’s the least confident of my three best bets. Navy’s excellent team rushing production is a product of many ball carriers not just Listori, with Braxton Woodson taking a large share of the offense.

In Navy’s most recent game, a 38-30 loss at FAU, Listorti carried four times for 35 yards. Woodson ran 12 times, Jackson Gutierrez seven and Michael Barrow seven. That distribution makes me reluctant to assume Listorti will get enough attempts to reach 70 yards.

UAB allowed 225 rushing yards against Louisiana last week, so the matchup could help Navy as a whole. The under still has a case if the quarterbacks and other backs account for much of that production.

One long run could change this quickly, and Navy has had a bye to adjust its offense. I’m targeting the under because of the workload uncertainty, not because I expect the Midshipmen to abandon the run. Use theScore Bet promo code to tail this wager.
