Down 2-1 in the ALDS, the Cleveland Guardians (85-77, 44-37 road) head into a must-win showdown tonight when they meet the Chicago White Sox (84-78, 48-33 home) in Game 4 of the ALDS at 8:00 PM ET at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Fresh off a season-saving 9-3 win in Game 3, Cleveland steps into Game 4 as the road favorite in the MLB odds. The White Sox are catching plus money on their home field – where they won 48 games during the regular season – and have a chance to punch their ticket to the ALCS.

I’m looking past the moneyline and total markets for this contest, focusing on MLB player props instead. See my favorite Guardians vs White Sox picks and props to bet in Game 4 on Oct 8, below.

Munetaka Murakami stands out as a massive threat to go yard, carrying a +374 price to hit a home run. Through 31 at-bats, he boasts three homers and 6 RBI vs Cleveland this season. If you want a safer floor, his total bases prop sits at Ov 1.5 (+169).

Parker Messick is expected to handle a starter’s workload, reflected by his outs line at Ov 14.5 (-162). He has racked up a 12.46 K/9 rate, giving ample justification for his strikeouts prop leaning heavily toward Ov 5.5 (-142). Conversely, Hagen Smith projects as an opener, heavily juiced to Un 0.5 (-219) earned runs.

Murakami has absolutely demolished Messick in their limited history, logging two home runs and a .500 average across six career at-bats. Randal Grichuk also boasts an excellent track record against the left-hander, registering five hits in 14 at-bats.

On the flip side, Colson Montgomery has struck out five times while hitting .250 in double-digit at-bats against Messick. Cleveland hitters have very little experience against Smith, though Jose Ramírez and Jo Adell have both managed extra-base hits against him. Guardians vs White Sox Player Prop Picks to Bet in Game 4

Identifying the best prop bets requires digging past surface-level stats and isolating the situational edges. Based on current prices, here are my top player prop predictions for this clash of World Series odds contenders.

Pick 1: Brenton Doyle Ov 0.5 Hits (-113 / 53% at Novig)

When playing at Rate Field, Brenton Doyle has been a machine at the plate. He offers near-even money to record a single base hit, an incredibly generous price considering how well he is seeing the ball at home.

Doyle has gone over 0.5 hits in each of his last 6 home games, maintaining a flawless 100% cover rate in that split. Over that stretch, he is averaging 1.2 hits per contest. Getting 53% / -113 odds at Novig for a guy who hasn’t missed at home is a smash spot.

Pick 2: Brayan Rocchio Ov 0.5 Hits (-122 at Kalshi)

Kalshi
Rocchio Ov 0.5 Hits
55%

The Guardians infielder has been quietly producing a steady stream of offense, particularly when hitting on the road. Kalshi prices him at 55 cents, which is equivalent to -122 American odds and much longer than the -148 price bettors will find at traditional sportsbooks. New users can claim the Kalshi promo code for a bonus to use on tonight’s game.

Brayan Rocchio has eclipsed 0.5 total bases in 6 of his last 7 road games (86% cover rate), averaging 2.29 bases per game in that span. Asking him to log just a single base feels like stealing, especially against a depleted pitching staff.

Pick 3: José Ramírez Un 1.5 Total Bases (-156 at Kalshi)

Kalshi
Ramirez Under 1.5 Bases
61%

It can be daunting to fade a perennial MVP candidate, but the situational data points to a major slump away from home. While his ceiling is massive, Ramirez’s recent floor has fallen off a cliff. I am heavily targeting his unders.

Ramírez is 2-9 versus a total bases line of 1.5 in his last 11 road games. He has also failed to exceed 0.5 hits in 3 of his last 4 games overall. Given his current struggles, grabbing Under 1.5 total bases is the sharpest angle on the board.
