The Week 6 edition of Thursday Night Football brings a massive clash between the Seattle Seahawks (3-2 SU, 1-2-2 ATS, 3-2 O/U) and Denver Broncos (3-2 SU, 2-3 ATS, 1-4 O/U) at Mile High. Both teams made their respective conference championship games a season ago, with Seattle ultimately winning the Super Bowl.
Below, I will break down this matchup, which kicks off Thursday, October 15 at 5:15 PM PT / 8:15 PM ET on Amazon Prime Video in the United States and TSN in Canada.
Seahawks vs Broncos Odds
Odds as of October 12 from BetMGM.
The opening board late Sunday night had Seattle -1.5 (-110), Denver +1.5 (-110), and a 41.5-point total. Since then, the spread has moved 1.5 points toward Seattle to -3, while the total has ticked down half a point to 41.
Removing the sportsbook’s vig reveals normalized probabilities of 58.2% for a Seattle outright win and 41.8% for a Denver upset.
A $10 wager on the favored Seahawks yields a $16.49 payout. Placing that exact $10 on the underdog Broncos returns $23.00 at standard sportsbooks. However, Kalshi offers better pricing on a Denver upset, with “Yes” shares trading at 41¢, equating to an implied +143 payout. Check the NFL odds closely before locking in a moneyline play.
Seahawks vs Broncos Picks & Predictions
Best Bet: Seattle Seahawks -2.5 (55¢ / -122 at Kalshi)
Denver’s underlying metrics reveal serious cracks on both sides of the ball. Bo Nix pilots an offense that ranks 26th in scoring at just 19.4 points per game and 27th in net passing at 182.8 yards per game. Seattle features an offense that averages 26.8 points per game (eighth in the NFL), powered by Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s torrid start of 32 receptions for 507 yards and seven touchdowns. They’ve had turnover issues, however, coughing it up four times to the 49ers in their loss on Sunday.
Seattle’s defense is one of the league’s premier units, ranking second in the NFL in total defense by allowing only 251.2 total yards per game and second against the pass by conceding a mere 150.8 net passing yards per contest. With seven interceptions and 14 sacks through five games, Seattle’s secondary will severely constrict Nix’s downfield passing lanes and force Denver into uncomfortable passing downs.
Denver’s defensive weakness plays directly into Seattle’s ability to control game script. The Broncos surrender 145.2 rushing yards per game, ranking 29th across the league, at a generous 4.71 yards per carry. Seattle’s ground attack should consistently find daylight between the tackles, sustaining drives and keeping Denver off balance. On the other side, Seattle allows only 100.4 rushing yards per contest (11th in the league) at 3.69 yards per rush, effectively removing Denver’s ground game as a reliable crutch and placing the game squarely on Nix’s arm.
Because Seattle holds substantial advantages in offensive firepower, rushing defense, and pass coverage, laying under a field goal on the road provides compelling value.
Back the Seahawks to win and cover the short number, while the Under remains attractive given Denver’s offensive limitations and Seattle’s top-tier defensive baseline.
Final Prediction: Seattle Seahawks 23, Denver Broncos 16

Public Betting Splits & Sharp Money Analysis
In the NFL public betting splits, there’s a fascinating dynamic between tickets and handle. Seattle commands a massive 70.1% of the spread money from just 55.7% of the bets. The larger, respected wagers are clearly comfortable laying the points with the road favorite.
The moneyline tells a different story. The public loves a Seattle outright win, generating 70.4% of the wagers. However, the handle sits dead even. Denver holds 49.1% of the money from only 29.6% of the tickets. Sharp bettors are hunting value on the home underdog’s moneyline.
Bettors stand united on the total. The Over accounts for 69.2% of bets and 68.3% of the cash.
