Here are my NHL predictions for every Sunday game, with projected scores and three best bets. Goalies are projected, not confirmed, so watch for morning skate news before you bet.

NHL Predictions Today: Full Sunday Slate

Wild @ Capitals3:30 pmWild3-2
Mammoth @ Flyers4 pmMammoth4-1
Oilers @ Rangers6 pmOilers4-3
Senators @ Ducks8 pmSenators4-2

The model likes four road teams on Sunday, with Carolina the only home side in the projected winners column.

Edmonton is the biggest name that missed the best-bet list. The Oilers are 10-2-2 and lead the league at 4.21 goals per game, with Matt Tomkins projected in goal against Dylan Garand.

All three best bets below are priced on Kalshi. Each contract pays $1 if correct, before fees, so the price works like an implied probability. You can also compare other NHL betting apps.

NHL Best Bets Today

1. Jets vs Hurricanes Pick: Carolina Puckline

  • Hurricanes -1.5 (YES 50¢ at Kalshi)

My first Jets vs Hurricanes pick lays the puck line with Carolina at roughly a 50% implied chance. The Hurricanes are 11-2-2 and 8-1-1 over their last 10, ranking fourth in scoring (3.73 per game) and second in goals against (2.33).

Winnipeg is 4-7-3 and has gone 1-7-2 over its last 10. The Jets rank 29th in scoring (2.43) and 23rd in goals against (3.36). Their 71.8% penalty kill also has to deal with a Carolina power play running at 22.6%.

Pyotr Kochetkov is projected against Stuart Skinner. Winnipeg is without Morrissey, while Jordan Staal (calf) and Taylor Hall (upper body) are dealing with injuries. Carolina won the first meeting 3-2 on Oct. 17, a reminder that a one-goal game sinks this ticket.

2. Mammoth vs Flyers Pick: Utah Moneyline

  • Mammoth ML (YES 61¢ at Kalshi)

I’m backing Utah on the road, priced at about a 61% implied chance. The Mammoth are 9-5-0, score 3.64 goals per game (seventh) and, own the league’s top power play at 34%.

Clayton Keller has 16 points in 14 games, while Logan Cooley has 15 and Nick Schmaltz has 14. Philadelphia is 3-8-4, ranks last in scoring at 1.93 goals per game and sits 26th on the power play at 16.3%.

Utah has holes, though. Its 67.4% penalty kill ranks 29th, and it allowed three goals in Thursday’s 4-3 overtime win against Pittsburgh. Vejmelka and Vladar are the projected starters, while Konecny and Tippett practiced Saturday but are only options to return.

3. Wild vs Capitals Pick: Minnesota Moneyline

  • Wild ML (YES 51¢ at Kalshi)

Wrapping up my NHL best bets today, I’m taking Minnesota in what is close to a coin flip at a 51% implied chance. The Wild are 9-3-3, 6-2-2 over their last 10 and second in the league at 2.33 goals against per game.

Kirill Kaprizov has 14 goals, 10 assists and 51 shots through 15 games, and Quinn Hughes has 20 points. Minnesota’s power play ranks eighth at 25.5%, while Washington sits 21st at 18.2%.

Washington is in strong form, too. The Capitals are 8-4 and 7-3 over their last 10, scoring 3.58 goals per game (eighth), so this is a thin edge and not a lock.

Wallstedt is projected for Minnesota and Thompson for Washington. The Wild are without Faber, Spurgeon and Gustavsson, while Eriksson Ek is expected back but not confirmed.

Prices via Kalshi as of 11:10 AM ET on November 1st 2026
