BetRivers has made its way to the Great White North—and it’s the only the beginning.

Rush Street Interactive, which owns the BetRivers brand, announced the launch of CASINO4FUN® in Ontario. The social gaming platform is now available and free to play for Ontarians aged 19+ on all mobile devices, tablets, desktop and laptop computers.

“Our expansion into Canada represents an exciting new frontier for RSI and continues our growth across the Americas,” said Richard Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer of RSI, in a press release. “CASINO4FUN® offers our community of players the same high level of entertainment and customer service of RSI’s real-money gaming platform, delivered in a casual and free-to-play setting. We look forward to providing a truly differentiated gaming experience for players in Ontario that is focused on fostering player trust and enjoyment.”

BetRivers Sportsbook Headed for Ontario

The BetRivers sportsbook is expected to make its way into Ontario once the province formalizes online sports betting, which is expected to be sometime in late 2021.

The launch of CASINO4FUN® in Ontario sets the table for a larger BetRivers Ontario launch once online sports betting is legalized in the province. You can expect the BetRivers brand to make a hard push in the province and other Canadian provinces as single-game sports betting is regulated.

As it stands, here are the sportsbooks expected to launch in Ontario when online sports betting comes to the province:

Sportsbook Apps To Launch in Ontario Expected Launch
FanDuel Q4 2021
DraftKings Q4 2021
BetMGM Q4 2021
Caesars Sportsbook Q4 2021
PointsBet Q4 2021
theScore Bet Q4 2021
BetRivers Q4 2021

Rush Street Interactive Comes with Experience

Rush Street Interactive currently operates sportsbooks in 11 US states: Pennsylvania, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Michigan, Indiana, Virginia, Colorado, Iowa, and West Virginia. They operate these sportsbooks through their BetRivers and SugarHouse brands.

Canada marks the third country that operates real-money or social gaming platforms via Rush Street Interactive. They are viewed as one of the largest sportsbook operators in the US alongside known brands like DraftKings and FanDuel.

Rush Street Interactive was also named 2020 Global Gaming Awards Digital Operator of the Year and the 2021 EGR North America Awards Casino Operator of the Year, Customer Services Operator of the Year and Social Gaming Operator of the Year.
