Sportradar Awarded United Arab Emirates Gaming-Related License

Sportradar will soon be able to provide its data and services in the United Arab Emirates.
According to Sportradar, a leading sports data technology provider, the company has been granted a gaming-related license from the United Arab Emirates’s General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA).
The GCGRA is an independent entity of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with exclusive power to regulate, license, and supervise all commercial gaming activities in the country.
Gaming-Related License Effective Immediately
Sportradar’s license is now operational with immediate effect. It allows the company the opportunity to provides its products and services to licensed gaming operators in the UAE.
According to a Sportradar representative, the company “looks forward” to bringing its 20-plus years of expertise and proprietary sports technology to operators and clients in the region.
The GCGRA is the federal executive agency of the UAE that oversees and regulates commercial gaming operations in the country. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, the GCGRA is the only authority that holds exclusive jurisdiction to regulate, license, and supervise all commercial gaming activities and facilities in the country.
Who is Licensed in United Arab Emirates?
Currently, the GCGRA has issued a lottery license to The Game LLC, which operates the UAE Lottery, and a land-based gaming facility license to Island 3 AMI FX-LLC, a company developing the Wynn Al Marjan Island casino resort expected to open in 2027.
The Wynn Al Marjan Island casino resort will be the first casino in the country.

The GCGRA has yet to issue any iGaming or sports betting licenses in the country.
