Evander Holyfield vs Vitor Belfort transpires at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The broadcast goes down on Fite TV pay per view and via TrillerFightClub.com.

Also, in the co-feature of the evening, UFC legends Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz will don the big gloves for a boxing bout against one another.

Evander Holyfield vs Vitor Belfort Odds

Fighter Odds
Evander Holyfield -150
Vitor Belfort +120

All odds as of September 8th

Oscar De La Hoya was initially supposed to fight Vitor Belfort until The Golden Boy contracted COVID-19.

The short notice step-up of Evander Holyfield lead to the event moving from California to Florida to facilitate regulation.

Vitor Belfort’s Sophomore Boxing Bout

Despite being a decorated mixed martial arts veteran, Vitor Belfort technically only has a single pro boxing bout under his belt.

A good amount of his MMA wins have come from using his blindingly fast, powerful hands though.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion returns to pro boxing after over fifteen years.

The Phenom last competed in May 2018 and left the UFC thereafter to pursue bouts in ONE Championship. Nothing ever ended up coming to fruition in the ONE Circle, so Belfort redirected focuses towards the sweet science.

Holyfield is 58 years old as he steps back into the ring after a decade out of competition.

He is the first man to ever unify all of the belts in the cruiserweight division and also become the world heavyweight champion.

Evander Holyfield Fighting in 2021?

Evander Holyfield initially signed with Triller Fight Club with the rhetoric being that a Mike Tyson trilogy fight could go down.

Tyson has subsequently tried to break away from Triller, and Holyfield was pivoted towards a Kevin McBride bout in June. But that would be scrapped due to the Lopez versus Kambosos Jr main event falling out due to COVID 19.

The experience edge, fight IQ, and a four-inch reach advantage clearly favor Holyfield.

But Belfort has advantages with his relatively more recent rate of activity, speed, and capable punching power.

This fantasy matchmaking-Esque curiosity bout is slated for eight rounds, and I feel like this one goes the distance.

Ultimately, I think there is solid underdog value in going with Belfort here.

Pick: Vitor Belfort (+120)

Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz Odds

Fighter Odds
Anderson Silva -800
Tito Ortiz +500

Tito Ortiz will be making his professional boxing debut here.

The Huntington Beach Bad Boy seemed to be shoring up some of his boxing game in his last couple of MMA bouts. But he was always predominantly known for his wrestling as well as his ground and pound game.

Silva is coming off of his hugely impressive upset victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in June.

The 46-year-old former UFC middleweight champion is apparently looking to compete for three more years. Seemingly having a new lease on his combat sports career now being 2-1 as a boxer with a win over a former WBC middleweight champion in his last outing.

The Spider has been preparing with some other fight-focused warriors as Silva has been sharpening skills with Robson Conceicao before his Oscar Valdez bout.

In the end, I do not think this contest will go to the judges’ scorecards.

I think there’s good value in finding pop bets on this fight not going the distance and Silva winning via KO or TKO.

Pick: Anderson Silva (-800)
