Vladimir Shishkin vs DeAndre Ware Odds & Pick
- Shishkin vs Ware goes Friday, August 23rd at 10:00 pm EST
- Will Shishkin remain undefeated as a professional?
- Can Ware halt the hype train of the hotly-discussed super middleweight prospect?
Shishkin vs Ware goes on ShoBox: The New Generation at Main Street in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. This bout will top the marquee of this co-feature put on by Holden Productions and Salita Promotions. The super-middleweight main event will go ten rounds.
Shishkin is looking to leave Russia and the confines of the European boxing circuit to make big waves on the American scene. Ware is looking to hand Shishkin his first pro L and further bolster his 2019 resume.
Shishkin vs Ware Odds
Fighter | Odds |
---|---|
Vladimir Shishkin | -1250 |
DeAndre Ware | +700 |
*Odds taken 08/22/19.
Shishkin is a rising Russian fighter who will be making his US television debut. He’s only eight fights in but is presently ranked in the WBC top ten and top 15 in the WBA rankings. Shishkin is looking to keep that momentum going against DeAndre Ware who is coming off a career-best win.
Ware defeated Ronald Ellis in February and wants to score another significant win during the calendar year. I think Shishkin will maintain his undefeated streak though.
Shishkin Impresses in US Debut
Shishkin seems like he’ll be the rangier fighter as he seems to have a lankier physique than Ware. He’ll seem to have the advantage in dictating the pace and deciding what range the fight takes place in.
Though Shishkin only has eight pro fights, he has a pretty lengthy amateur record. 330 fights with 301 wins lent itself to having high-level technique and sharp boxing mechanics. Shishkin has a 63 percent KO rate but it’s more important to note that three of those knockouts have come in his last three straight bouts.

This is by no means a walk in the park for Shishkin. In fact, it’s arguably the stiffest test he’s faced as a pro so far. Ware collected the vacant World Boxing Council Continental Americas Super Middle Title and the vacant NABA USA Super Middle Title in his last outing. Ware could get some decent traction on the long road to a world title shot and he seems to be uber focused on that.

I think Shishkin has the potential to stop Ware. It becomes a little complicated when predicting a specific round as Shishkin has shown an ability to finish the fight early inside of the first four but also can score knockouts late in bouts.
This was evidenced in his last fight where he scored a 10th round knockout of Nadjib Mohammedi. I’m predicting that Shishkin gets the stoppage inside of eight rounds.
Pick: Vladimir Shishkin (-1250)
