Indiana vs Oregon Odds
According to the latest college basketball odds, Oregon comes into this one as a 2.5-point favorite on a neutral court. With -140 odds on the moneyline, sportsbooks are giving the Ducks a 58.33% chance of advancing to the Big Ten Quarterfinals. Oregon opened as a 2.5-point favorite, moved to -1.5, but now is back to -2.5 as we near tipoff. The total opened at 143.5 but has been bet down to 141.5.

The Public’s Pick for Indiana vs Oregon
The latest college basketball public betting splits show that the public likes the Ducks to cover the spread vs Indiana. 67% of the bets are on Oregon -2.5 with 60% of the betting handle on them to cover.
The public is going against the line movement on the total and betting on the over. 60% of the handle is on Indiana/Oregon Over 141.5. Since the line moved down two points since opening, the public believes they are getting a value with that number.
Indiana vs Oregon Predictions
As the short spread suggests, I am predicting a close, hard-fought battle between these two teams. Points should come at a premium with these two defenses.
Oregon is riding high heading into the Big Ten Tournament. They have won seven in a row and are 4-3 against the spread over that span. Indiana is heating up at the right time as well. The Hoosiers have not won seven in a row, but they are 4-1 in their last five with the only loss coming against Oregon on March 4.
This stretch has put Indiana on the bubble, and they need a good showing in the Big Ten Tournament to further their claim. The Hoosiers play a big, physical brand of basketball that they will need to bring into this matchup. In the first time these two teams met, Indiana had 32 points in the paint. They will look to exploit that again on Thursday.
Because of their physicality, the under is 8-1 in Indiana’s last nine games. The under has also been cashing for the Ducks. The under has hit in five of Oregon’s last six games, and it would have been six unders in a row had Oregon not gone to overtime against Washington in their last game of the regular season.
The Ducks have put up some strong offensive performances this season, but they can disappear at times. Indiana has the defense to make things difficult for Oregon to score, especially down low.
Indiana will lean on Oumar Ballo, who is averaging 13.2 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. The 7′ center scored 10 points and grabbed 12 boards against Oregon earlier this season. He will be matched up against Oregon’s leading scorer, Nate Bittle (14.1 points per game) on the post, and that will be the matchup to watch in this one in Indianapolis.
Indiana vs Oregon Picks
I am picking Indiana to not just cover the short spread but to win outright vs Oregon in the second round of the Big Ten Tourney. Indiana needs to make a run in this tournament to clinch their spot in the next one. They will also be playing in what should be a home game in Indianapolis which is roughly an hour away from Bloomington.
On the other hand, Oregon has to travel across the country to play in the tournament. The Ducks have lost their last two games in the eastern time zone.
The game that they played a little over a week ago was a lot closer than the 73-64 final score showed. Indiana shot better from the field than Oregon did, but the difference came from free throws. Oregon went 19/21 from the free throw line, while Indiana shot just seven free throw attempts. I could see Big Ten refs being quick with the whistle in the tournament, so there should not be as much of a disparity this time around.
Indiana is out for revenge and is the hungrier team. Take the Hoosiers to advance and get a shot to beat Michigan State again.
