  • Unbeaten Harvard brings a top-20 FCS ranking to Hanover for a Friday night Ivy League clash
  • Dartmouth’s clock-controlling ground game could shape how this one plays out at home
  • Read below for my Harvard vs Dartmouth prediction and the Polymarket prices behind it

The Harvard Crimson hit the road to take on the Dartmouth Big Green at Buddy Teevens Stadium at Memorial Field in Hanover, New Hampshire. Kickoff for this Ivy League clash is scheduled for Friday, October 30, at 7 p.m. ET, with a national broadcast on ESPNU.

Harvard arrives sporting an unblemished 6-0 record and a 3-0 mark in conference play. The Crimson beat Princeton 35-7 last Saturday. They have outscored opponents 171-77 this season and held four different teams to 10 points or fewer.

Dartmouth counters with a 3-3 overall record and a 2-1 Ivy League standing. The Big Green enter on a two-game win streak after a 38-18 victory at Columbia, which followed a hard-fought 27-21 win against Merrimack. With conference stakes on the line, the betting value here comes down to possessions, ball security and whether Dartmouth can turn this into a low-possession, ground-and-pound battle.

Harvard vs Dartmouth Prediction & Best Bet

  • Pick: Dartmouth +10.5 (62¢ on Polymarket)

My Harvard vs Dartmouth prediction centers on contrasting game scripts and Dartmouth’s ability to dictate the pace. Harvard’s 79-cent moneyline price reflects a clear favorite to win outright, but laying double digits on the road asks the Crimson to pull away from a team built to shorten the game. The value lies with the home underdog catching the 10.5-point spread at 62 cents.

The blueprint showed up at Columbia. Dartmouth piled up 419 total yards, including 247 on the ground with five rushing touchdowns, held the ball for 32:28, scored on all five red-zone trips and did not commit a turnover. Quarterback Grayson Saunier ran for 96 yards and three scores, including a 68-yard touchdown, while running back Myles Craddock carried 23 times for 128 yards and a touchdown.

That production is not a one-week outlier. Craddock has 503 rushing yards and four touchdowns this season, and Saunier has added 220 rushing yards and five touchdowns while completing 69 of 127 passes for 951 yards and five scores. Just as important, Dartmouth has committed just three turnovers all season while forcing seven, six of them in its last two games.

Harvard can grind too, and that is the main risk to this position. The Crimson outgained Princeton 391-219, held the ball for 32:55 and opened with an 18-play drive that took 10:02. Sophomore quarterback Charlie Smith completed 22 of 28 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns without an interception.

Still, Dartmouth’s first two losses came by one possession, 24-20 to Lehigh and 31-28 to Monmouth, and the Big Green are 16-3 over their past 19 home games. The 28-7 loss at Yale is a reminder that the downside is real. At 62 cents, this position needs Dartmouth to win or lose by 10 or fewer more than 62% of the time. I believe a mistake-free, clock-draining script clears that bar, but it is an edge, not a guarantee.

Harvard vs Dartmouth Odds

Spread-10.5 (47¢)+10.5 (62¢)

Polymarket prices observed Thursday, October 29.

In prediction markets, prices trade in cents and track implied probability, so a 62-cent contract carries a 62% implied chance. The Harvard vs Dartmouth odds make the Crimson a strong favorite to win at 79 cents, but the key takeaway is on the spread. Dartmouth +10.5 costs more than Harvard -10.5, meaning traders see the Big Green keeping this within double digits as the likelier outcome. Ivy League Stakes for Harvard and Dartmouth

Harvard is the only unbeaten team left in the Ivy League. A Dartmouth win would hand the Crimson their first loss of the season, improve the Big Green to 3-1 in league play and pull them level with Harvard in the conference standings.

A Harvard win keeps the Crimson unbeaten in league play and drops Dartmouth two games back in the loss column. If you plan to follow the action live on Friday night, compare the best college football betting apps before kickoff.
