As expected, there will be a lot of interesting outfits worn, with a few in particular catching the eye of the Twittersphere – like Japanese sensation Yuumi Kato who will be outfitted like Sailor Moon.

Catriona Magnayon Gray is coming off a Miss Universe Philippines title in addition to previously being named Miss World Philippines in 2016 – making her the first woman ever to earn victory in both World and Universe national titles. Venezuela is a Solid Value Pick at +4000
In the last decade Venezuela has been a force in this competition – winning three times (2008, 2009, 2013), so at +4000, you could do a lot worse in betting on great value to emerge victorious.

Taking that even further, however, shows that Venezuela has been outstanding in major pageants since 2008.

Will Steve Harvey Announce the Wrong Winner?

This one has all the makings of yet another incredible moment to send everyone in a tizzy. As a refresher, watch this video from 2015 when host Steve Harvey incorrectly names Miss Colombia the winner instead of Miss Philippines.
He hasn’t had an epic faceplant in two subsequent pageants, so don’t expect him to do it again. But I think we can all agree that would be absolutely fantastic.

This pageant will make history with the first ever transgender woman competing – Angela Ponce from Spain, who also happened to be the first to be crowned Miss Universe Spain. She is the only transgender woman taking part, meaning your odds of being correct at +5000 are 1-in-94.
