  • WWE Elimination Chamber will take place at the Toyota Center in Houston on February 17th
  • The new WWE Women’s Tag Team titles will be on the line inside the Elimination Chamber
  • Who will escape Satan’s Prison as the first-ever champions?

Tag team titles have been in the works for the women of WWE for several years, and at long last, they will debut at WWE Elimination Chamber next Sunday.

They were originally announced by Vince McMahon himself on the Christmas Eve episode of Raw.

It was then revealed that the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team champions would be decided inside the Elimination Chamber with six teams from Raw and SmackDown fighting for the gold.

WWE held the first-ever women’s Chamber match at last year’s installment and it was better than the men’s version that night. Thus, there’s a decent chance the same might happen at the 2019 event, especially with so much at stake.

Qualifying matches have been held on Raw in recent weeks to determine who would have the honor of vying for the twin titles at Elimination Chamber, while the ladies of SmackDown Live simply had to declare themselves for the bout (likely due to the division not having enough depth).

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber Odds

Wrestler Women’s Tag Team Championship Odds
Bayley & Sasha Banks -175
The Riott Squad +400
Nia Jax & Tamina +500
Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville +600
The IIconics +600
Carmella & Naomi +600

*Odds taken 2/7

It has been obvious from the moment the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship was announced that Sasha Banks and Bayley would be the inaugural champs.

Thus, them being so far ahead of everyone else in the odds as of now is hardly a surprise, meaning there isn’t a ton of value in betting on Banks and Bayley.

That said, it isn’t a slam dunk Banks and Bayley will win the titles, considering The Boss is still suffering from some sort of an injury (hence why she was largely kept out of the ring on Monday night).

In that case, WWE would likely give the straps to The Riott Squad, who are trailing The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection in the odds at the moment.

The rest of the tandems (Jax & Tamina, Rose & Deville, The IIconics, and Carmella & Naomi) don’t stand much of a chance of coming out on top inside Satan’s Prison.

Despite rumors that Banks may not be cleared to compete in time for the Chamber, The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection are fans’ best bet to become the first-ever WWE Women’s Tag Team champions.
