The Age of Empire
Team Empire head into the Six Major Raleigh with a lot of momentum. They dominated Europe in Pro League Season 9 and carried that into the finals. Team Empire eliminated DarkZero Esports and Fnatic on their way to the grand finals where they defeated Evil Geniuses 2-1.

Through the first half of Season 10, it’s been much of the same for Empire. After the first round robin, they sit atop Europe with 17 points and a 5-2-0 record. Without a loss to their name, the only teams to hold up to Empire have been G2 Esports and ‘Looking For Org’. It’s hard to argue with Team Empire as the favorites when they have yet to lose a match in Season 10.
Value Picks in the Top 5
G2 Esports is the most intriguing team entering this tournament. They won the first major Rainbow Six tournament of the year back at the Six Invitational, which included a clean 3-0 sweep of Team Empire in the finals. Following the big major win, G2 stumbled back in Europe during Season 9 and failed to qualify for the finals. So far in season 10, those struggles have continued as they sit in fifth in Europe with a 3-1-3 record.

This team is still interesting because they’re one of a few teams that have been able to hold up to Team Empire. They also knocked down L4Org 7-5 on July 15th in Pro League play. G2 is a team that can seemingly raise up to tougher opponents but also fall flat against lesser opponents. Although there’s a lot of uncertainty around them, for the price it might be worthwhile to pick the Six Invitational champs.
G2 is a team that can seemingly raise up to tougher opponents but also fall flat against lesser opponents.
Another European contender is the aforementioned ‘Looking for Org’. They’re a single point behind Team Empire in Europe during Season 10 but you could argue that they’ve been more dominant. L4Org has a higher game differential but their single loss to G2 has kept them out of first. Formerly known as LeStream Esports, L4Org would seem like a great pick if not for their concerning loss to sixth place North American team ‘Rogue’ in the grand finals of DreamHack Valencia.
Their pro league play has been impressive but they’ve yet to win a tournament with the level of competition that will be seen in Raleigh.
Kings of Latin America
All of the favorites to win the Six Major are European teams. However, a team from Latin America has been quietly dominating their region. The Brazilian team of Ninjas in Pyjamas qualified for Raleigh by cruising through the Six Major Latin America. They won the tournament by sweeping each and every opponent they faced including Team oNe eSports in the finals.

Carrying that into Pro league S10, they’ve yet to drop a match. It’s hard to tell how their dominance in Latin America will translate to facing European teams. At +1400 it could be worth the gamble.
Picks: Empire (+225)
