Fresh off of winning WESG, where no one could have predicted them coming out on top, Windigo sit as the favorite to win the United Masters League.

The event takes place March 30-31, and will see four teams match up against each other after coming through an online qualifying stage that saw 14 teams battle it out.

Sprout +350
Uruguay +550

Though Windigo are the favorite, by no means are they unbeatable here.

They are riding a massive momentum wave heading into the LAN but they will see stiff competition from Valiance, who have proved they can hang with some of the world’s best.

Can Windigo String Together Back-to-Back Wins?

A team that many would consider lower tier proved recently that they may just be another squad that you need to keep an eye on in the future.

Windigo had an impressive showing at WESG, where they were able to defeat MiBR, G2, and AGO, en route to hoisting the trophy and claiming the $500,000 prize.

They have had some success in the past against some teams that would be considered tier one teams, but nothing like what they were able to pull off in China.

Since winning WESG, they have also played another three world class teams in BIG, G2, and AVANGAR, all of which they handled easily with 2-0 wins.

All of the wins came online, but they have still found themselves a little hot streak and they look to continue that at the United Masters League.

The Bulgarians have proved that they are another up-and-coming team that no top team should take lightly. And since this tournament doesn’t really have the most skilled teams, they very well could find themselves with another title under their belt come the 31st.

Valiance Capable of Slowing Windigo?

Valiance is a team that many know from their run in the EU Minor for IEM Katowice, where they were able to make an impressive run beating some premier teams in the world of CS:GO.

Since, they have had some pretty good results, finding wins recently over Denial, OpTic, and ENCE. They also managed to get pretty far at WESG, losing to the eventual runner-up AGO, in a close 2-1 series.

They have proven in past that they can hang with some of the best teams in the world on LAN, and since there won’t be the most talent at this event, they could easily be the last team standing at the United Masters League final.

Any Value Elsewhere?

I would say pretty confidently that it will be both Windigo and Valiance in the finals come Sunday, but there is definitely some value in looking at Uruguay to make a push at the United Masters League.

They are a team of what some would call “misfits” in the pro scene, but they have all played on some pretty serious teams in the past.

With ScreaM, Ex6tenZ, HS, and Hampus all playing at the highest in the past, they certainly have the experience to win it all. But the lack of playing time together may prove to be fatal for their chances at the United Masters League.

Pick: Valiance (+250)
