  • Jannik Sinner offers solid ATS value despite a massive game spread
  • Daniil Medvedev’s early-round trends point heavily to the under

The first round of the 2-26 French Open continues in Paris on Tuesday, bringing relentless baseline striking and grueling rallies to the clay at Roland Garros. I am ready to dissect the slate, starting with the day’s opening matches at 5:00 am ET and culminating with a heavy-hitting main event at 2:15 pm ET.

The board packed with massive favorites aiming for quick knockouts and live underdogs looking for a takedown against established seeds. Bettors can expect a mix of heavy chalk – like Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev – looking to ground-and-pound their overmatched opponents into early submissions.

Finding plus-money value and isolating vig-free edges in the moneyline, ATS, and over/under markets is my priority as I grapple with the numbers today to expose the true implied probabilities.

Tracking the early handle, I have already identified significant line movement across the board. The total for Matteo Arnaldi vs Tallon Griekspoor opened and remained at 39.5. Meanwhile, Facundo Diaz Acosta’s spread stretched from -2.5 to -4.5 after heavy sharp action faded Zhizhen Zhang at the betting window. Finally, Sebastian Baez saw his game spread open and remain at -2.5 against Roman Andres Burruchaga.

Jannik Sinner vs Clement Tabur Pick: Sinner -10.5 (-137 at bet365)

Closing out the day’s slate at 2:15 pm ET, world #1 Jannik Sinner enters the court as an overwhelming favorite over Frechman Clement Tabur. My model assigns Sinner a staggering 99.3% outright win probability. The only way he loses this match is via injury.

With the moneyline completely unplayable at -50000, pivoting to the ATS market is the only mathematically sound approach. Sinner applies an immediate submission hold on lesser opponents in early rounds. Tabur lacks the striking distance off the serve to force tiebreaks, meaning Sinner’s return game should dictate the pace. I project Sinner to break serve at least five times, which should clear the -10.5 threshold.

Daniil Medvedev vs Adam Walton Pick: Under 28.5 Games (-113 at Kalshi)

Under 28.5 Games
53%

In one of the earliest matches of the day at 5:00 am ET, I am backing under 28.5 total games in Daniil Medvedev vs Adam Walton. My numbers give Medvedev a dominant 95.3% win probability, but isolating the total provides much cleaner value. Medvedev’s baseline combinations act like power punches, physically draining opponents and forcing a high rate of unforced errors.

Walton simply lacks the grappling power to consistently hold his own service games against top-tier opponents. This matchup screams a quick, straight-sets knockout.

Matteo Arnaldi vs Tallon Griekspoor Pick: Arnaldi ML (-133 at Kalshi)

Matteo Arnaldi to Win
57%

For bettors looking for tighter, highly competitive odds, Matteo Arnaldi taking on Tallon Griekspoor is the prime target. I am locking in Arnaldi on the moneyline at -133 via Kalshi. The odds give the Italian a 57% implied win probability. My personal power ratings have Arnaldi’s true win probability sitting at 58.5%, showcasing a clear, albeit marginal, edge on the moneyline price.

Arnaldi utilizes elite groundstrokes from the baseline which should neutralize Griekspoor’s net approaches. Arnaldi’s superior defensive game should allow him to survive tight sets and eventually pull away with the outright victory.
