Kalshi announced it has forged exclusive brand partnerships with five MLB franchises.

The prediction market company today announced exclusive, multi-year brand partnerships with the Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, and San Francisco Giants.

“The idea is that fans are already engaging with their favorite teams on Kalshi, so it only makes sense to extend that fandom to some of the most beloved baseball teams in America,” said Adam Barrick, head of sports partnerships at Kalshi.

Exclusive In-Stadium Signage

The exclusive prediction market operator partnerships will include in-stadium signage, plus social, online, radio, and fan activations. For instance, the Dodgers partnership will allow Kalshi to include company LED signage around Dodger Stadium, as well as grant the operator the naming rights for the stadium’s Gold Glove Bar.

Additionally, Dodgers fans will have access to Kalshi-specific offers and on-site activations throughout the season in Centerfield Plaza.

Baseball-related trading on Kalshi’s platform has proved to be a popular market. According to the company, baseball sports event contract trading is up more than 36-times year-over-year.

The partnerships are Kalshi’s first foray into MLB deals. Polymarket announced the first prediction market operator MLB partnership earlier this year in March, while Novig announced the first MLB team partnership with the Mets on July 30.

Four of Kalshi’s new five MLB team partnerships exist in two states – Massachusetts and California – where the company is currently embroiled in lawsuits over its sports event contracts.

Massachusetts became the first state to levy a lawsuit against Kalshi – and the prediction markets – over its sports event contracts in 2025.

The lawsuit alleges Kalshi’s sports event contracts bypass key consumer protections that are required of licensed sports betting operators. Kalshi has not undergone the necessary comprehensive processes required by the MGC to ensure its operations are in alignment with state regulations. Kalshi also allows users between the ages of 18 and 21 to trade contracts on its platforms, when the legal age for sports betting in the state is 21.

Massachusetts Superior Court Judge Christopher K. Barry-Smith issued a preliminary injunction, which Kalshi has appealed.

Several California tribes also have taken issue with Kalshi and its sports event contracts. The Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians, Blue Lake Rancheria, and Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians filed a lawsuit for injunctive relief and fiscal damages against Kalshi in July 2025, alleging the prediction market company engaged in illegal gaming on tribal land.

The Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians recently dropped out the lawsuit.
