2027 World Series Odds: Who’s Favored – Dodgers or Brewers?

With the dust barely settled on the Milwaukee Brewers’ 2026 World Series championship, sportsbooks have wasted no time pivoting to next fall. DraftKings has posted its opening odds for the 2027 Fall Classic, and while Milwaukee sits near the top following its first title in franchise history, the perennial powerhouse Los Angeles Dodgers once again opens as the title favorite.
Between pending free agents, rotation health questions, and emerging contenders, the futures market offers intriguing value across the board.
World Series Odds 2027
At the bottom of the 2027 World Series odds, only five teams are priced at +10000 or longer: the Athletics (+1000), Reds (+15000), Giants (+20000), Angels (+20000), and Rockies (+50000).
Odds have yet to open on prediction market apps, but traders will likely find slightly better prices when they do.
Los Angeles Dodgers (+310)
Opening as the consensus favorite, the Dodgers retain their unmatched star power and financial muscle. However, +310 implies nearly a 24.4% chance to win the championship, a steep price for a futures market.
While their lineup remains terrifying and their rotation depth recovers from seasonal wear, early money at this number is difficult to justify given the volatility of playoff baseball.
Milwaukee Brewers (+500)
The freshly-crowned champions open at +500, a testament to their dynamic core led by Jackson Chourio, William Contreras, and an electric young rotation fronted by presumptive 2026 NL Cy Young-winner Jacob Misiorowski.
Milwaukee’s front office has key decisions to make in the bullpen and middle infield, but with their young nucleus under team control, the Brewers have legitimate staying power atop the National League.
New York Yankees (+700)
The Yankees enter the winter seeking answers after another October exit. All eyes will be on how the front office approaches contract extension talks and impending free-agent holes in the bullpen and infield.
At +700, oddsmakers are baking in a major winter shopping spree in the Bronx.
Boston Red Sox (+1100)
Boston represents the second AL East challenger on the board. With their talented wave of young position players blossoming and money to spend on frontline pitching, the Red Sox could see this price shorten if they land an ace to complement their lineup.
Seattle Mariners (+1800)
Seattle offers one of the best young starting rotations in baseball, which always provides a high October floor. If the Mariners can acquire a high-contact bat or two this winter to address lineup depth, +1800 provides substantial upside.
They’ll also be looking for a bounce-back year from Cal Raleigh, who plummeted from 60 home runs and 125 RBI in 159 games in 2025 to just 23 home runs and 69 RBI in 126 games in 2026.
Philadelphia Phillies (+1800)
Philadelphia’s core is battle-tested, but an aging roster and looming free agency decisions across the bullpen and outfield place their championship window under pressure. At +1800, they are priced as a secondary contender rather than an elite favorite.
Tampa Bay Rays (+2200)
The reigning AL champions remain master roster architects. Even with impending free agents and arbitration raises potentially forcing trades, Tampa Bay’s pitching laboratory and young positional depth make +2200 an appealing longshot price.
New York Mets (+2200)
With substantial financial flexibility, the Mets are guaranteed to be active bidders for top-tier free-agent bats and pitching. If they land one or two marquee names, +2200 will not last long. Their aggressive ownership group has repeatedly proven it will outspend the competition whenever premium talent reaches the open market.
San Diego Padres (+2500)
The Padres possess elite top-end talent, but contract considerations and payroll balancing will dictate their winter. If they retain their key impending free-agent contributors, +2500 offers strong value. Adding rotation reinforcements will be essential if they hope to withstand the marathon division race against Los Angeles.
Cleveland Guardians (+2500)
Cleveland’s bullpen-driven identity and elite situational hitting keep them perpetually in the hunt. At +2500, they present an attractive mid-tier ticket if they bolster their outfield production. Another winter of targeted developmental gains from their farm system could easily vault them back to the top of the American League Central.
