Betting on home runs isn’t easy, but it is by far the most rewarding market in the world today. Financially and spiritually. There’s just something about calling a dinger. Saying, “Hey, I know this guy is only going to hit 30 home runs in over 600 at-bats this season, but one of those dingers is coming in his three at-bats today.” It’s glorious. Makes us feel like Nostrodamus but even smarter. Keep in mind, Nostrodamus never got paid for his predictions. We’re out here getting over +300 for our dinger calls. Look at us. Here are three home run bets for tonight that will make Nostradamus look like an amateur. Feels right.

Tuesday Home Run Pick #1 – Jonathan Aranda Will Start Us Off Right

What we need to get us going is a nice longshot. There is just something about hitting a +700 or higher bet that gets the blood pumping in ways people just don’t understand. It’s glorious and we’ll never be able to get enough.

That’s exactly why we need to be all over Jonathan Aranda’s matchup with Kyle Bradish.

There aren’t many guys in the league who get me excited in a curveball matchup but Aranda is one of them. What can we say, the man enjoys hitting curveballs from righties over the fence. So far this season he’s sent two of them home with fans. That’s important because Bradish has been leaning on his curveball to lefties so far this season. We’re talking 30% of the time here people. This can’t end well for Bradish. Feels right.

Tuesday HR Pick #2 – Yordan Alvarez Hits Bombs

Obviously longshots are awesome. We all know that. But sometimes, we need to mix in some big dogs. We can’t just have a card of all +700 or higher guys. It just doesn’t work. We’re going to need some big dogs.

Especially when that big dog is a guy like Yordan Alvarez in a matchup with a guy like Zebby Matthews.

Here’s the thing, I’m a Zebby guy. Always have been, always will be. But between us, the kid leans on his fastball to lefties a little too much. We’re talking half the time here for a pitch that guys hit almost .400 of last season with an ISO of .321. Not trying to be rude here, but Yordan has a home run off both of Jacob deGrom and Luis Castillos’ fastball in the last five days. We all know what’s coming tonight when he sees Zebby’s. Feels easy.

Tuesday HR Pick #3 – Jo Adell Goes Nuts

Lastly, we’re going to need a West Coast game to tuck us in tonight. By my calculations, both Jonathan and Yordan will have gone deep by 8:30 pm ET tonight. That’s way too early for us East Coasters to just go to bed. We’re going to need more action.

Lucky for us, Jo Adell will meet up with Jacob Lopez at 9:38 pm ET tonight which will be a nice cherry on top of our cash sundae.

If you’ve been in the home run streets for any time then you know Jo Adell is a lefty assassin. It’s just how he rolls. He’ll hit a righty out, but you can tell he wishes that righty was a lefty. Over his career, we’re talking about one home run in every 16 plate appearances here people. That’s legit.

The four-seam fastball is his pitch of choice and he’ll see plenty tonight from Lopez. We’re talking 31.5% of the time. Strangely enough, that same fastball is getting demolished by righties this season to the tune of a .314 ISO. Keep your head on a swivel if you’re in the outfield bleachers tonight. Feels right.
