My favorite bet today is the Braves to cover the -1.5 run line. The Braves boast a 35-15 record (70.0% win rate) as a favorite this season. Conversely, the Mets struggle immensely when priced as underdogs, holding a dismal 6-14 record (30.0% win rate) in that scenario. The data strongly supports backing the road team in this distinct bounce-back spot.

As for the game total. I’m also betting the over on 8 runs. The Braves have hit the over in 70.0% of their last 10 games. Their lineup produces a league-best 1.64 home runs per away game, making this total very approachable even if the Mets struggle at the plate. Atlanta boasts the best record in all of MLB, and is a top-3 World Series odds contender.

Martin Perez vs Sean Manaea Stats

Moving over to the starting pitching matchup, Martin Perez provides reliable innings and limits base hits effectively for Atlanta. He holds an impressive 2.98 ERA over his last 10 outings. Mets starter Sean Manaea flashes swing-and-miss upside, but his run prevention is severely lacking. He owns a bloated 6.10 ERA across his previous 10 appearances.

Looking at batter splits, Austin Riley and Olson have historically crushed Manaea. Riley owns a 1.500 slugging percentage against him in limited exposure. On the other side, Starling Marte thrives against Perez, while Pete Alonso is completely hitless in 14 career at-bats against the southpaw.
