All 30 MLB teams are in action today, giving us a lot of opportunities in the “to hit a home run” betting market. Multiple sportsbooks are offering bonuses in this betting market today as well.
It is Dinger Tuesday at FanDuel, so all users can opt in and claim a 50% profit boost to use on any player to hit a home run tonight. At DraftKings, all users can claim a no-sweat home run bet, so even if the player you chose does not hit one over the fence, you get a bonus bet back.
See below for my best home run picks and predictions for Tuesday, May 13.
Dinger Tuesday Pick #1: Byron Buxton (+510 at FanDuel with 50% Boost)
Byron Buxton has nine home runs on the season, and today presents a great chance for Buxton to hit No. 10. He faces Cade Povich and the Orioles on Tuesday night, and Povich has struggled this season with a 5.55 ERA. Even worse, he has a 1.77 HR/9 in 2025. The lefty has struggled to keep the ball in play against right-handed batters, such as Buxton, as all seven of the home runs he has allowed this year have been against righties.
In 2025, Buxton has a better batting average and a better slugging percentage against lefties, so this matchup is fantastic. He has a .346 average and is slugging .642 vs left-handed pitchers. In the month of May, Buxton has a 1.027 OPS and has three home runs. I expect him to stay hot tonight vs the Orioles.

Buxton is +340 to hit a home run tonight at FanDuel, but using the 50% Dinger Tuesday profit boost, his odds move up to +510, which is incredible value for a player with the power of Buxton. A $10 wager on Buxton to go yard would win $51 and result in a $61 payout.
Home Run Pick #2: Enrique Hernandez (+420 at FanDuel)
I am predicting that Enrique Hernandez hits a home run tonight as well. Hernandez is not a known power-hitter, but he does have six homers on the year already. The lefty, Jeffery Springs, is on the mound for the Athletics, and he has given up a home run in six of his last seven starts.
Hernandez is slugging better against lefties than righties this season and has an exit velocity of 91.4, making this an intriguing matchup. The Dodgers have a lot of home run hitters on their team, but at +420 odds, Hernandez offers some great value to bettors.
Hernandez is seeing the ball well in May as he is hitting .300, slugging .500, and has one home run this month. He has also done well against Springs in his career.
Enrique Hernandez vs Jeffrey Springs
He has four hits off Springs with one home run, one double, and two singles. Hernandez has hit better at home, so I believe Hernandez will hit another one over the fence against Springs tonight.

Home Run Pick #3: Yandy Diaz (+650 at DraftKings)
Yandy Diaz is +650 to hit a home run tonight, so I am using DraftKings’ no-sweat home run bet on the Rays first baseman. Diaz has six home runs this season and faces a familiar foe on the mound in Jose Berrios.
Berrios gave up two home runs in his last start and now has a 1.54 HR/9 on the year. Diaz has a hard hit rate of 54.3 and an exit velocity of 93.5, both of which are great for someone getting +650 odds to hit a home run.
Yandy Diaz vs Jose Berrios
Diaz already has one home run off Berrios in his career, and I expect him to hit another one tonight. Three of his six hits against Berrios have been extra-base hits. The month of May has not been the best for Diaz as he is hitting just .184, but he also has three home runs, so he has the ability to go yard tonight against Berrios, who has struggled with giving up the longball this season.
