- We’ve got another full slate of MLB games for Dinger Tuesday, May 26
- When this happens, we need to find at least three guys we like to go yard and bet them
- See below for my three best home run plays for today
Hopefully, everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend because now it’s time to lock in for the dog days of summer. Generally speaking, Memorial Day is the kickoff to the summer, even though summer doesn’t officially start until next month. Temperatures are up, and we’re already seeing a ton of “suns out, guns out” situations, so it’s basically summer. What does that mean for us sports bettors? Two words: Home Runs. As the weather warms, so do Major League hitters. That’s just how they roll. Lucky for us, today is Dinger Tuesday, which means a full slate of games. With all this action, we have to be able to find at least three guys that we know for a fact will go yard tonight. Feels like the move.
Home Run Picks For Tuesday (May 26)
Each one of the home run picks for today is at least +300, meaning if we bet the same amount on each player and one of them hit a dinger, we would profit.
Putting all three in a long-shot home run parlay at DraftKings generates +10524 odds.

Tuesday Home Run Pick #1 – Juan Soto Will Start Us Off Right
What we need to get us going is a nice, easy meatball. A guy who is known to hit bombs, being priced like a guy who isn’t really known to hit bombs. Those guys aren’t always easy to find, but we know them when we see them.
One guy who fits that description tonight is Juan Soto.
The haters are going to say that Soto is up against Chase Burns tonight, so he won’t go yard, but whatever. At what point did we start listening to the haters? First off, Burns has already given up seven home runs this season. Of those seven home runs, five have been to lefties. The man will give it up. We’ve all seen him. Now throw in the fact that Burns throws his four-seam fastball to lefties 60% of the time and we’re on to something. Soto rakes that pitch from righties, which makes him a great place to start tonight. Feels easy.
- The Bet: Juan Soto to Hit a Home Run (+456 at Kalshi)
Tuesday HR Pick #2 – Kyle Schwarber Still Hits Bombs
Now that we’ve got one guy in our pocket, it’s not the time to get complacent. We need to keep our feet firmly pressed on the gas because that’s what the books would do to us if they had the chance. It’s just the nature of the game we play. We actually like it like that.
Lucky for us, Kyle Schwarber is running into a matchup with Randy Vasquez. The rich just get richer.
Here’s the thing: Schwarber is only +266. At some books, I’ve seen him as low as +230. Still, I think there is still value in this thing. We’re matchup hunting, and this looks like a good matchup for Kyle. Basically, any matchup is a good one for Kyle, but especially this one. Vasquez throws seven different pitches, and Schwarber has at least one home run this season versus every one of those pitches from right-handers. Feels right.
- The Bet: Kyle Schwarber to Hit a Home Run (+300 at Kalshi)
Tuesday HR Pick #3 – Ketel Marte Is Raking
Finally, we’re going to need a guy who is white hot to round this thing out. We’ve already got two thumpers. Why not add a guy who is legit in the zone? It just makes sense. Especially when the guy that is “in the zone” is also a thumper.
We’re talking Ketel Marte in a plus matchup with Tyler Mahle.
It took Marte a while to get going, but he’s finally going. Over his last seven games, he’s hit the ball over the fence three times. There were another handful of times where he hit the ball 100+ MPH, but it somehow stayed in play. Tonight, he’s going to see a guy in Mahle that he has owned over his career. I’m not a batter vs pitcher guy, but it’s hard to ignore the 8-12 with two dingers stat line Marte has versus Mahle. My guess is this is not a time Mahle wants to see Marte. Feels right.
- The Bet: Ketel Marte to Hit a Home Run (+567 at Kalshi)
