Pitbull vs Queally 2 Bellator 270 Odds

Patricky’s brother, Patricio, was the lightweight champ but vacated the belt after he lost at featherweight and wanted to give his brother a chance to fight for the belt. To do it, however, he is going into enemy territory to take on Peter Queally.

Pitbull vs Queally Recent Fights

Pitbull
VS
Queally
Peter Queally, loss by TKO Fight 1 Patricky Pitbull, win by TKO
Tofiq Musayev, loss by decision (RIZIN title fight) Fight 2 Ryan Scope, win by TKO
Luiz Gatavo, win by KO Fight 3 Myles Price, loss by split decision
Tatsuya Kawajiri, win by KO Fight 4 David Khachatryan, win by TKO

This is an intriguing matchup as when they fought back in May, Pitbull dominated the first round and was winning by the second. However, Queally was active on the bottom and landed a vicious elbow that cut Pitbull open near the eye, and the fight was stopped.

Although this is a rematch many wanted to see, it is surprising to see it be for the vacant lightweight title given Pitbull is on a two-fight losing skid. However, there weren’t many other options, and Queally is a massive star in Ireland.

Early on, I expect the fight to look similar to the first one as Pitbull will have success on the feet and the ground. Pitbull is the more well-rounded fighter, but the knock on him is his cardio. Even in the second round against Queally, he began to slow down, and the Irishman was able to take control.

I don’t understand the Bellator 270 odds for this one as Queally won the fight last time, and he has the cardio to go five hard rounds. The first two rounds won’t be good on the Irishman, but I do think in the third and fourth round he will begin to take over and eventually get a TKO win to become the new champ.

Playing Queally straight up at +195 in the Bellator 270 odds is the way to go, but you could also look at a prop for Queally inside the distance or just fight doesn’t go the distance.

Pick: Peter Queally (+195)

Can Gallagher Continue His Rise at Bellator 270?

Patrick Mix and James Gallagher have been linked to a fight for quite some time as the two are high-level grapplers and good trash talkers. Now, they will fight in Gallagher’s home in Dublin, Ireland but the Conor McGregor protege is now training under James Krause in the States.

Mix vs Gallagher Recent Fights

Mix
VS
Gallagher
Albert Morales, win by submission Fight 1 Cal Ellenor, win by submission
Juan Archuleta, loss by decision (title fight) Fight 2 Roman Salazar, win by submission
Yuki Motoya, win by submission Fight 3 Jeremiah Labiano, win by decision
Isaiah Chapman, win by submission Fight 4 Steven Graham, win by submission

This should be a phenomenal fight between two high-level grapplers and when that happens it usually becomes a striking fight. On the feet, Gallagher is the better striker, and under Krause, he should have the right game plan to use his jab and piece up Mix. If it does go on the ground, both men will have their moments. That being said, I like Gallagher to pull off the upset as he’ll piece up Mix and do enough on the feet to win a decision to pull off the upset.

Gallagher offers great value at +300 in the Bellator 270 odds.

Pick: James Gallagher (+300)

Other Bellator 270 Picks:

  1. Daniel Weichel (-195): Weichel should be able to keep it standing and eventually find Carvalho’s chin and get the TKO win.
