Golden State Warriors (-6, 205 o/u) at Washington Wizards

The Golden State Warriors will visit the Verizon Center tonight (7:00 p.m. Eastern) to meet the Washington Wizards for the first time in 2014-15 season.

After a recent skid from the Hawks, the Warriors are back to being the top team in the NBA, boasting a 43-10 record overall and going 7-3 in their last ten. Meanwhile, in the standings, the Wizards are second in the Southeast Division at 33-23, but they are just 2-8 in their last ten games.

The Warriors have the highest scoring offense in the league, averaging 110.3 PPG. However, their leading scorer and potential NBA MVP candidate, Stephen Curry, is questionable for tonight’s game with a foot injury. The point guard has missed only one game this season and that came last Sunday when the Warriors lost against to the Pacers (98-104).

“It is not easy without your best player,” Klay Thompson said after the loss to Indiana. “It doesn’t matter who is in the game for us, we’ve got plenty of guys who can execute.”

Meanwhile, Washington has lost three straight, including two since dealing Andre Miller for Ramon Sessions at the trade deadline. The Wizards were blown out in both of those games, getting crushed by Cleveland at home (127-89) and then getting pummeled by the mediocre Pistons on the road (106-89).

The Wizards are just 2-4 against the spread in their last six games at home and 4-6 ATS in their last ten against Golden State.

The total has stayed under in the last five Golden State games. It has also stayed under in four of Washington’s last six.
