Denver Nuggets | -4.5 (-110) | Â -198 | OFF |

The Nuggets opened up as a 4.5-point favorite, looking to sweep the season series over the Grizzlies. Denver was victorious in its last outing, blowing out Houston at home 129-116.
Denver Dominates Houston
Michael Porter Jr. led the way versus the Rockets, pouring in a career-high 39 points. Nikola Jokic added 24 points and 12 boards, racking up his league leading 52nd double-double, while P.J. Dozier poured in 23.

Dozier was filling a starting role for injured guard Will Barton, who is the latest member of the Denver backcourt to go down. He joins star point guard Jamaal Murray (knee) and Monte Morris (hamstring) on the sidelines, but so far the depleted guard rotation hasn’t affected the Nuggets all that much. They’re 5-1 since Murray was lost for the season, and have still managed to average 120.3 points per outing without their second leading scorer.

The main reason for that has been the outstanding play of Jokic. The 26-year-old has averaged 26 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists in Murray’s absence, and is the overwhelming favorite to win the MVP.
For the season, the Nuggets’ offense ranks fifth in points per game and second in field goal percentage, but has been forgiving at the defensive end. They rank 21st in opponent field-goal percentage and last in defensive rebounding.
Memphis Mauls Portland Twice
The Grizzlies meanwhile, took two straight from the Trail Blazers in Portland over the weekend, winning by 7 on Sunday afternoon and by 2 on Friday night. Ja Morant led the way in both games scoring 61 points combined, while Jonas Valanciunas returned on Sunday from a three-game absence due to a concussion, to chip in 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Memphis will wrap up its season-high seven game road trip on Monday in Denver, and unlike most teams they have performed significantly better away from home in 2021. The Grizzlies are 17-12 on the road (compared to 13-16 at home) and average 9 more points in away contests.

They shot 52.2% from three on Sunday, and given how generous the Nuggets have been to enemy shooters this season, another explosive offensive performance could be on deck.
Role With the Road Warriors
Memphis has won eight of its past 11 road games and has been cashing ATS tickets away from home at a very high rate. The Grizzlies have covered five of six games on their current road trip, and are 13-6 ATS this year as a road underdog.
That impressive stretch includes a road cover against this same Denver squad six days ago, despite falling by 2 points to the Nuggets. Memphis is actually 2-0 ATS this season versus Denver, despite losing both games outright.

The Nuggets on the other hand, have been winning games lately but have been failing to beat the spread. They’re 0-4 ATS in their last four outings, and 2-7 ATS over their past nine. Denver is 13-18 ATS in 31 home games this season and just 11-15 ATS as a home favorite.
Pick: Memphis Grizzlies +4.5 (-110)
