The Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors resume their Eastern Conference 1st Round series tonight in Toronto, with the Cavs looking to take a 3-0 series stranglehold. Toronto has displayed a fatal flaw during this opening-round series: they cannot stop the bleeding from beyond the arc. Their perimeter defense has surrenderered 14.5 opponent three-pointers per game, allowing Cleveland to shoot an incredibly efficient 40.3% from downtown.

Mitchell has been letting it fly with supreme confidence. Through the first two games of the series, he has drained 8 of his 17 three-point attempts, splashing triples at a 47.1% clip.

Mitchell has knocked down 4 threes in each of this series first two games, proving this line is simply priced too low for his current playoff usage. If his efficiency continues, we’ll have to start taking Cleveland serious in the NBA Championship odds, but for now we’ll settle on simply wagering on his long distance shooting.

If the Raptors are going to avoid falling off a cliff into a 3-0 hole, they need reliable offensive initiation. With Ingram completely out of rhythm, averaging just 12.0 points on a dismal 33.3% shooting, Barrett has forcefully taken the reins as Toronto’s most dependable scoring threat.

Barrett has been ruthlessly attacking the Cavaliers’ permissive interior defense, scoring 46 total points across 68 minutes of postseason action. His efficiency has been off the charts, sinking 17 of his 26 field goal attempts while getting to the charity stripe 11 times.
