The NBA Play-In tournament begins with the #9 Charlotte Hornets hosting the #10 Miami Heat Tuesday night at 7:30 PM ET on Prime Video. Loser fails to make the postseason, while the winner will compete against the loser of the #7 vs #8 Play-In between the Magic and the 76ers. The winner of that matchup will punch their ticket to the postseason.

Sportsbooks are favoring the Hornets to claim victory in the NBA odds. With a game featuring such high stakes, players like LaMelo Ball, Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, and Kon Knueppel will feature heavily in the player props market. Miami Heat vs Charlotte Hornets Best Player Props to Bet

• Tyler Herro 20+ Points (-158 at FanDuel)
• LaMelo Ball Over 8.5 Assists (+114 at DraftKings)

Tyler Herro 20+ points is my top NBA props target tonight from the Heat. On the other side, LaMelo Ball over 8.5 assists in my favorite selection from Charlotte. Herro was second in team scoring on the campaign, putting up 20.5 points per outing. I’m particularly bullish on him because of his success against the Hornets.

In a whopping ten in a row and eleven of twelve meetings versus Charlotte, Herro has managed to put up at least 20 points against them. That dates all the way back to the 2021 season. In five of six career Play-In duels, Herro has gone over the 20 point threshold, showing up when his team needs it most.

For my second choice, I’m going with LaMelo Ball to register at least nine assists versus the Heat. In three of his last seven outings, he’s gone over that number, with two times just failing to reach that mark (8). Against Miami, however, Ball has been in a much more giving mood, putting up nine or more assists in four of five, including 13 in the latest meeting in March.

It’s a bit of dicey proposition, which is why you’re getting him at plus money, but I like to mix it up and target some great value.
