What Sportsbooks Are Offering Promos & Odds Boosts?

Bettors should consider checking into each site and determining the one that best suits their betting needs. Some factors to take into consideration when making this decision include site promos and signup bonus offers.
For example, DraftKings is currently offering a promotion in which players get an odds boost from -245 to +100 if they bet the Suns in Game 1 of the NBA finals. BetMGM has a deal where you can bet $20 on any event and win $100 even if it loses. FanDuel is offering a no sweat bet up to $1,000.

Sportsbook | Bet | Odds | Boosted Odds |
---|---|---|---|
DraftKings | Suns Sweep Bucks in NBA Finals | +800 | +870 |
Another factor to weigh is whether the sportsbook offers boosted odds on specific wagers. These are betting lines in which an online sportsbook increases the return on investment for a winning wager.
What Do Moneyline, Spread and Total Mean?
Playing the spread is the most common bet in basketball but there are various ways to wager on the sport.
Say, for example, that the Suns are 6-point favorites. If you bet the Suns, they would need to win by more than six points for your bet to win. Conversely, a wager on the Bucks would be a winner if they lost by six points or less or won the game outright.
Another popular bet is the total.
Let’s say the total – also known as the over/under – for a game between the Suns and Bucks is 218 points. If you bet the over, the teams would need to score more than 218 combined points to cash a winning ticket. On the other hand, an under bettor would win if the teams had less than 218 points between them.

Playing the moneyline is more common in sports like hockey and baseball than basketball. The moneyline is based on a $100 wager.
Here’s how it works: the underdog is assigned a positive number. For instance, the Bucks are +190 to win Game 1 of the NBA Finals. That means if a bettor wagers $100 on the Bucks and Milwaukee win, they will win $290.
Phoenix, the favored team, is assigned a negative number. The Suns are -230 to win Game 1. In this instance, that means a bettor would be required to wager $230 on the Suns to realize a $100 profit on the bet.

Bucks vs Suns Series and Game 1 Odds
The Suns are -185 favorites to beat the Bucks in the NBA Finals and bring their first title to the desert. The Bucks, meanwhile, are +155 underdogs in their quest to win it all for the first time since Lew Alcindor and Oscar Robertson were their stars.
As far as Game 1 on Tuesday, the Suns are a 5.5-point favorite at home and the total is 218.5 points. Phoenix is -230 on the moneyline and Milwaukee is +190.

Odds as of July 5th.
The Suns took both regular season meetings against the Bucks, winning each game by one point.
The Suns have also won Game 1 in all three of their playoffs series. The Bucks, though, are just 1-2 in lidlifters, including losing Game 1 to the the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Finals.
There are several different ways to wager on the outcome of a playoff series. Exact series outcome is a popular wager. Bettors are wagering on which team will win and in how many games.

What Player and Game Props Can You Bet On?
Players and game props are also other ways to bet on games in The Finals or any NBA game. Two of the more popular ones are points by an individual player and who will score the first field goal in a game.
Here’s an example as far as individual scoring props go. Say, for example, the over/under is 25.5 points for the Suns’ Devin Booker. If he scores 26 or more points, the over bet wins. If he has less than 26 points then the under bet cashes.

The first field goal in a game prop is straightforward. If the player you bet on scores the first basket then you’re a winner.
Among some of the more popular game props is betting the exact margin of victory for a team and which team will the first to score 10 points in a game.
