Odds as of October 28th at FanDuel

Steph Makes it Rain

By no surprise, Curry is showing out early on in the 2021/22 season, averaging 29 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game for the 4-0 Warriors, who are looking like the real deal. Steph has also been shooting it very efficiently from downtown, draining 40% of his three-point attempts.

We all know that he takes a lot of threes in a game. In fact, the Golden State star is chucking up 11.3 of them a night so far. It’s typically one of Curry’s main sources of offense considering he is one of the best shooters this game has ever seen.

Last time out, Steph went 4 for 9 from beyond the arc in a victory over the Thunder. He’s also splashed in eight three-pointers on October 21st versus the Clippers. As for the Dubs’ opponent in the Grizzlies, the 33-year-old erupted for 46 points in the play-in game in 2020/21 against them while going 9 for 22 from deep. Although the sample size is small, Memphis is hopeless at defending the three-ball this season, with opposing teams shooting 40% from downtown against them.

Given the way Curry is playing right now and the Grizzlies’ lack of perimeter defending, the over is a great bet here.

  • Pick: Stephen Curry Over 5.5 Three-Pointers (-108)

Kemba Shows Out Again

Kemba Walker might not be the same player of the past, but when healthy, he’s still capable of being a formidable scoring threat. Now with his hometown New York Knicks, Walker took a few games to really get going this season. He put up 10,11, and 10 points in his first three appearances, but then the former UConn star made his presence severely felt on Tuesday as the Knicks broke a 15-game losing streak against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Kemba dropped 19 points and dished out five assists in a 45% shooting night from long range. Sure, these numbers aren’t eye-popping, but if he’s able to average around 20 points per night for Tom Thibodeau’s squad, that would be considered huge for this team.

In the Philly matchup, the 31-year-old was thriving offensively, especially in mid-range and from beyond the arc. Walker drained some very tough jumpers throughout the contest and several deep three-pointers. While he also thrived as a playmaker by finding a lot of open looks for the likes of RJ Barrett and Randle, the clear takeaway here was that Kemba was playing with tons of confidence with the ball in his hands.

The Bulls are rolling right now and New York will be hungry to hand them their first loss. Chicago also looked vulnerable on Monday against the Raptors and almost collapsed defensively late in the game. Walker is getting more accustomed to his surroundings with the Knicks. I truly believe he will prove to be a key part of this organization this season and Tuesday was just the start. Cash in on the over in points.

  • Pick: Kemba Walker Over 15.5 Points (-102)
