New York’s biggest strength in this series is their massive 53.3% total rebounding percentage. They punish teams inside, averaging 51.3 points in the paint. Their ability to bully teams in the interior is what makes them an intriguing NBA Championship odds pick, and it was thought to be enough of an advantage to cruise past the Hawks. Even though that hasn’t been the case, their interior dominance directly supports backing the over on Hart’s rebounding props, especially since Atlanta allows 11.3 offensive rebounds per game.

Through the first three games, Hart has been an absolute terror on the glass, pulling down 36 total rebounds. Atlanta’s frontcourt rotation is dangerously thin, and Hart consistently find himself matched up against smaller wings or out-of-position defenders. That’s a matchup he’ll exploit every time, as his long wingspan and crafty basketball IQ give him a significant leg up on the glass.

Conversely, New York’s biggest weakness is transition defense. They surrender 17.7 fast break points per game, and this defensive vulnerability plays right into the hands of Atlanta’s backcourt.
