No. 13 Texas A&M (6-2, 3-2 SEC West) is a 4-point home favorite against Auburn at 12:30 pm ET Saturday on CBS. The Aggies are the only team to beat Alabama this season, but with two conference losses need to stack victories to reach the SEC title game.

No. 12 Auburn (6-2, 3-1 SEC West) and arch-rival Alabama as the only one-loss teams in the SEC West. The Tigers are 4-0 straight up and 3-0-1 ATS at Kyle Field since the Aggies joined the SEC in 2012.

The Aggies had a bye last week and are entering on a three-game winning streak that began with a 44-41 upset victory over then-No. 1 Alabama at home Oct. 9.

Texas A&M is 7-1 straight up and 4-4 ATS after a bye since 2009, 4-1 straight up and 2-3 ATS in SEC games.

Nix Back in Charge

Bo Nix has regained complete control of the Auburn quarterback position after another strong game in a 30-21 victory over then-No. 12 Ole Miss on Saturday, when he threw for 276 yards and a touchdown and rushed for two more scores.

Nix was benched in favor of T. J. Finley in the second half of the Georgia State game and also lost time to Finley against LSU and Georgia before statement games the last two weeks. He has completed 43 of 56 passes for 568 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed for three scores in victories over ranked teams Arkansas and Ole Miss.

Tank Bigsby had 140 of the Tigers’ 207 yards rushing against Ole Miss, the first time the Tigers cracked 200 yards rushing since season-opening wins over Akron and Alabama State.

Auburn Defenders Return

Starting linebacker Owen Pappoe and edge rusher T.D. Moultry returned against the Rebels. Pappoe had six tackles, one for loss, and Moultry had two tackles. Pappoe had missed the previous four games with a leg injury and Moultry had missed three with eligibility issues.

Auburn knocked Rebels’ Heisman candidate Matt Corral out of the game with a left ankle injury late in the first quarter, although he returned after a brief absence. The Tigers stopped three fourth-down pass attempts inside their 20 in the second half.

Giant Killers

Texas A&M returns to the field following a bye after featuring the running gam  in victories over Missouri and South Carolina following a 44-41 victory over then-No. 1 Alabama on Oct. 9. The Aggies had 283 yards rushing and three touchdowns in a 35-14 victory at Missouri and had 290 yards rushing and two scores in a 44-14 victory over South Carolina, with a combined 908 yards total offense.

Isaiah Spiller has 761 yards rushing and Devon Achane has 668, and each has five rushing touchdowns, They also are primary receivers — Spiller is third on the team with 21 receptions and Achane is fourth with 18. Each has a receiving touchdown.

Quarterback Zach Calzada had by far his best game of the season against Alabama, going 21 of 31 for 285 yards and three touchdown since taking over former No. 1 Haynes King, who suffered a broken leg in week two.

Calzada has thrown one interception in each of his six starts, which included the losses to Arkansas and Mississippi State. He is 115 for 208 for 1,364 yards with 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Texas A&M are 4-3 ATS as a favorite this season, 0-2 ATS when favored by seven points or less. The Aggies are 12-1 straight in their last 13 at home and 8-3 ATS in their last 11.

Auburn is 2-1 ATS as an SEC road underdog this season. The Tigers are 4-1 straight up in their last five. The over is 6-2-1 in the A&M series.

Auburn controls its own destiny, and the visitors should continue to gain support, especially in light of the series trends.
