Ravens Big Beltway Choice

The Baltimore Ravens are the biggest favorites in Week 4, a 13-point choice as they head down the Beltway to play the Washington Football Team.

Baltimore is 2-0 both straight up and against the spread going into its Monday night game against the visiting Kansas City Chiefs.

Washington lost 34-20 to the Browns at Cleveland on Sunday as a seven-point underdog.

The big news for Washington was that it lost rookie defensive end Chase Young in the second quarter to a groin injury. The No. 2 pick in this year’s draft had 2.5 sacks in his first two games.

Washington has lost two games in a row since upsetting the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1. It is now 1-2 both overall and ATS.

Titans Small Favorites

The narrowest spread is the 1.5 points the Tennessee Titans are favored over the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers.

Both teams are unbeaten at 3-0. However, the Steelers are 2-1 against the spread and the Titans have failed to cover in all three games.

Tennessee edged Minnesota 31-30 on the road Sunday as a 2.5-point favorite.

Stephen Gostkowski kicked six field goals, including a 55-yarder with 1:48 left that gave the Titans the win. He missed three field goal tries and an extra point in the Week 1 win over the Broncos at Denver.

Derrick Henry rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns to help the Titans to their first 3-0 start since 2008.

Pittsburgh rallied from an 11-point deficit at home Sunday to beat the Houston Texans 28-21 and cover the four-point spread. The Steelers are 3-0 for the first time since 2010.

Seahawks Lighting The Board

The biggest opening over/under in Week 4 is 54.5 in the Seattle Seahawks vs Miami Dolphins game.

The Seahawks are averaging 37.0 points a game and the Dolphins are scoring at a 23.3 clip. All three Seattle games have gone over while the under has been the right side in two of Miami’s three games.

On Sunday, the Seahawks outlasted the visiting Dallas Cowboys 38-31, covering as 5.5-point favorites. DK Metcalf caught the winning touchdown on a 29-yard pass from Russell Wilson with 1:47 to go.

The Dolphins notched a 31-13 road victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night as a 2.5-point underdog.

If the oddmakers are correct, then the Thursday night game between the Broncos and host New York Jets should be a snoozer. Both teams are 0-3 and total is just 39.5, lowest on the board.

The Jets are the lowest-scoring team in the league at 12.3 points a game, though two of their three games have gone over, thanks in large part to a defense that’s giving up 31.3 points a game.

Missing injured quarterback Drew Lock and wide receiver Courtland Sutton, the Broncos are scoring just 15.0 points per game. Two of their three games have gone under.

On Sunday, the Jets were routed 36-7 by the Colts at Indianapolis as a 12-point underdog. Sam Darnold was intercepted three times, two of them were returned for touchdowns, and he took a safety.

Six-point dogs, the Broncos lost at home 28-10 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They have gone winless in September in each of Vic Fangio’s first two seasons as coach.

Line Movement

As good as the Ravens are, the 13-point spread seems a little too high for a road game against a Washington team that hasn’t been as terrible as many expected. Look for a sizeable amount of money to go on the big double-digit home dog.

The Buffalo Bills are three-point favorites on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders. While the Bills are 3-0, it seems likely some significant bets will be made on the hometown Raiders in Vegas.
