NFL Week 2 Parlay Picks

In this week’s NFL parlay predictions we’re attacking the low-hanging fruit with three of the biggest favorites in the NFL betting odds. Last week’s parlay started strong with the Ravens, but went up in flames when the Seahawks pulled a no-show.

49ers vs Rams

  • Pick: 49ers

Both teams put up plenty of highlights in Week 1 with the 49ers rolling the Steelers 30-7 in Pittsburgh and the Rams beating down the Seahawks 30-13 in Seattle.

Brock Purdy is still undefeated in his career in games he’s started and finished as well as throwing multiple touchdowns in every regular season game.

Matthew Stafford and the Rams offense had a dream start, with Stafford throwing for 334 yards and Tutu Atwell and Puka Nacua each finished with 119 receiving yards. Despite those strong passing numbers, the Rams’ points all came through field goals and on the ground, with Kyren Williams running in two of their three rushing TDs. Nacua enters Week 2 questionable with an oblique injury.

The Rams rarely see much success against the 49ers in recent seasons. Los Angeles is 1-8 versus San Francisco in the past nine games. Last season San Fran won 24-9 at home and 31-14 on the road.

San Fran held Pittsburgh to only 41 rushing yards last week and averaged only 82.5 rushing yards against (2nd) last season. So the 49ers should be able to better contain the Rams ground game this week and get the win.

Jets vs Cowboys

  • Pick: Cowboys

Both teams are 1-0 entering Week 2 but each got there a little differently. Dallas went on the road to division rival the New York Giants and smacked them around to the tune of 40-0 on Sunday Night Football. Dallas jumped out to a 16-0 first quarter lead and never looked back. They did so without Dak Prescott throwing for a single passing touchdown and only going 13/24 for 143 yards. Prescott actually only attempted one pass of over 20 yards and completed only two for 15+.

It didn’t matter as Dallas had three rushing touchdowns, a forced fumble and two interceptions.

Daniel Jones had a worse statline than Prescott going 15/28 for 104 yards before he eventually got benched with the game out of hand.

Things weren’t going any better for the starting quarterback for New York’s other team, the Jets. Aaron Rodgers lasted just four snaps in his Jets debut before tearing his Achilles. That puts an end to his season, possibly his career and tanked the Jets Super Bowl odds immediately after.

The Jets found themselves down 13-3 to the Bills on Monday Night Football but mounted an unlikely comeback to force overtime at 16-16 before Xavier Gipson returned a 65-yard punt return for the game-winning touchdown.

New York got the win despite backup QB Zach Wilson barely being able to move the ball throwing for just 140 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. They made up for it elsewhere with Breece Hall rushing for 127 yards and Jordan Whitehead picking all Josh Allen three times. The Bills also shot themselves in the foot with a lost fumble.

The Jets’ defense is good enough to win them games this season. But on a short week after such an emotional rollercoaster on Monday it just won’t be in Week 2.

Raiders vs Bills

  • Pick: Bills

The Bills opened their season with a huge tilt with division rivals the New York Jets on Monday in New York. The game lost much of its’ lustre though with Rodgers getting knocked out of the game and season early. That would’ve looked like a layup win for the Bills, but it was not so as they lost 22-16 in overtime.

The Bills will return home to Buffalo in Week 2 where they were 7-1 last season.

The Raiders went on the road to Denver in Week 1 and came away with a 17-16 win. That’s great, but the Broncos were the lowest scoring team in the NFL last season averaging 16.9 points per game, and by the looks of it, with 16 points in Week 1, they haven’t improved much.

The Raiders were only 2-7 on the road last year and should face a much stiffer test in Week 2 against the Bills offense that ranked third in PPG last season with 27.7.

It’s unlikely Buffalo turns the ball over four times again in Week 2 and the Raiders could be dealing with some defensive injuries with DE Chandler Jones and FS Tre’von Moehrig both questionable on the Raiders vs Bills injury report.

NFL Teaser Picks Today

Matchup Pick (Teaser Line)
Ravens vs Bengals Bengals -3 (+4.5)
Chiefs vs Jaguars Jaguars +3.5 (+10.5)
Browns vs Steelers Steelers +2.5 (+10.5)
TOTAL ODDS +102

NFL Week 2 Teaser Picks

US betting sites allow for many options when it comes to how to bet on NFL games. One of those ways is to add or substruct points to an NFL spread to create what is called a teaser. You can essentially do the same thing by taking alternate spreads numbers for each game of your choosing which is an option at many books, including Bet365.

We thought we had added plenty of points to the Steelers in last week’s teaser picks, but it wasn’t so. We’ll go back to the well one more time here with Mike Tomlin’s boys.

Ravens vs Bengals

  • Bengals +4.5

The Ravens came away with a Week 1 win, 25-9 at home to the Texans. But they were only up 7-6 at half and it didn’t come without a cost. Starting RB JK Dobbins went down with an Achilles injury. The OL has injuries with LT Ronnie Stanley and C Tyler Linderbaum questionable, plus the defense has issues too in the secondary with Trayvon Mullen and Marcus Williams out and Marlon Humphrey questionable. TE Mark Andrews missed Week 1 and is still questionable so Lamar Jackson could be down multiple key pieces to work with.

The Bengals looked awful in Week 1 losing 24-3 to the Browns. But Joe Burrow missed the preseason with a calf injury and surely he and the Bengals will rebound in Week 2.

The teams played three times last season with the home team winning all three. Baltimore won 19-17 and Cincinnati 27-16 in the reg season. Cincinnati won again the playoffs at home 24-17 and has also won four of the past five.

I see a Bengals win here, but in case Burrow is still rusty, these extra points on the alternate spread should cover us in this Week 2 picks in the parlays and teasers.

Chiefs vs Jaguars

  • Pick: Jaguars +10.5

The teams met twice last season. First in the regular season in Kansas City where the Chiefs won 27-17. They met again in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, again in KC and again playing to a similar score with KC winning 27-20.

The Cheifs get some extra rest here having kicked off the season on Thursday last week, but lost at home 21-20 to Detroit. Meanwhile, Jacksonville went into Indianapolis and beat rookie QB Anthony Richardson and the Colts 31-21.

The Lions offense was clicking versus KC in Week 1. They had more total yards, passing yards, rushing yards, fourth down conversions, first downs, plays and time of possesion. Of course, the Chiefs were down some of their top playmakers with DE Chris Jones holding out and TE Travis Kelce injured.

Jones signed a new contract and will be back for the Chiefs on defense this week but Kelce is still questionable.

The Jags also dominated the stat categories versus the Colts, but still allowed 21 points to a rookie QB. So Mahomes should have a better day than in Week 1 where RB Isiah Pacheco led the team in receptions. WR Kadarius Toney had an awful game and no one stepped up in Kelce’s absense.

This looks like a game that has the potential for points if Kelce returns, but also looks like one where win or lose, the Jags keep it close which makes them a great choise for our teaser picks.

Jacksonville was 5-3 at home last season and those three losses came by seven, six and four points. Playoffs included, only 2/9 losses came by ten or more points and SU they’re now 8-2 in their past ten.

Browns vs Steelers

  • Pick: Steelers +10.5

And our final pick in this week’s parlays and teasers come from the AFC North.

The Steelers really stuck it to me in Week 1, costing me on my ATS picks and my teaser. Not only did they lose, but they lost big and were never competitive in losing 30-7 at home to San Francisco.

As poor as the Steelers looked in Week 1, the Browns looked just as good in beating their division rivals the Bengals 24-3. The Browns held Joe Burrow and the Bengals to 82 passing yards, 142 total yards and only six first downs.

Both teams won at home last year, Cleveland 29-17 and Pittsburgh 28-14. This AFC North rivalry typically goes the way of the home team with home teams being 8-2-0 in the past ten.

I’m going back to the Steelers and hoping last week was an anomoly. Last year at home Pittsburgh lost four games, but by only three, four, seven and two points. And while these Mike Tomlin trends didn’t pan out last week, Tomlin at home as a dog has typically been money. He’s now 13-6-2 ATS and 12-9 SU as a home underdog in the regular season. Overall, Tomlin is 48-29-3 ATS and 40-40 SU as an underdog. Tomlin off a loss of 10+ points also boasts an impressive 15-5 ATS record.
