  • The underdog is 5-1 against the spread in the last 6 meetings between these two teams
  • We give you more of the Ravens vs Jaguars odds below, plus our best bet and prediction

It hasn’t exactly been pretty, but Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens (7-3, 4-5-1 ATS) are starting to find their groove as they ride a four-game winning streak into Florida for a date with the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-7, 3-6-1 ATS) in Week 12. Read on for an analysis of Baltimore Ravens vs Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jaguars are rested, coming off a bye week. Baltimore should be bolstered by the return of running back Gus Edwards, who hasn’t played a game this month due to a hamstring injury. Despite winning their last two games by double digits, the Ravens are small 3.5-point favorites against the Jaguars for this battle.

Kickoff for this matchup is at 1:00 pm ET on Sunday, November 27th with the forecast calling for temperatures of 79 degrees Fahrenheit, with a mix of sun and clouds and the potential for scattered thunderstorms. CBS will have the broadcast coverage with Andrew Catalon and James Lofton on the call.

The gap in the point spread has shortened by half a point with the Ravens dropping to 3.5-point favorites from the earlier 4-point chalk spread. In the NFL public betting trends, the under is pulling 59% of the handle. With regards to the point spread, Baltimore is pulling 83% of the public bets.

Ravens on a Moneyline Roll

They haven’t done enough to get the pundits to consider them as legitimate contenders in the Super Bowl odds, but the Ravens have been racking up the victories since starting the year just 3-3.

The return of Edwards this weekend will make the Ravens’ ground attack that much more dangerous. It was a difficult week for the Baltimore offense in Week 11, with the aerial attack particularly struggling. Lamar Jackson completed 24 of 33 passes for 209 yards with an interception in a 13-3 win against Carolina.

Obviously, this team has a former MVP under center, not Trent Dilfer, but it’s the defense that is carrying the squad, harkening back memories of the Ray Lewis and Ed Reed glory years. No, this defense is not at that level, but they have been impressive.

Roquan Smith has proven to be an excellent addition to the linebacking crew and the Ravens are second in the NFL with 18 takeaways. With a one-game lead over Cincinnati, they are now the heavy favorites in the odds to win the AFC North.

Ravens vs Jaguars Trending Towards Under 43.5 Points

Recent trends point to this game going under the projected over/under total in the NFL Week 12 lines. Jacksonville is well rested, so maybe they get a boost, but the offense was scuffling heading into their bye week.

In their first four games, Jacksonville went 2-2, averaging 26.3 points, but they’re just 1-5 in their last six and averaging 18.5 points over that span.

We’ve already discussed the Ravens’ stellar D. They’ve given up just 16 points combined over the last two games. This is only the fourth time that Baltimore is facing an opponent with a record under .500 this year and they haven’t allowed more than 20 points in any of those contests.

Injury News

Health is one thing the Jags don’t need to be too concerned about heading into this game. Cornerback Shaquill Griffin remains out with a back injury suffered in Week 6 against the Colts. For Baltimore, injuries have been a huge issue throughout the season.

Edwards will be a huge boon to the offense, especially with fellow tailback J.K. Dobbins out for at least another week. Rookie safety Kyle Hamilton, who has been a major factor in the Ravens’ defensive turnaround, is questionable with a knee injury as is All-Pro left tackle Ronnie Stanley who is dealing with an ankle problem.

Both did not return after being injured in the second half of Baltimore’s 13-3 victory over the Panthers last week.

Pick & Prediction

A well-rested and very healthy Jags team should be able to put up somewhat of a fight against the Ravens. Having said that, Jacksonville has won just one of their last seven, so it would take a monumental effort to pull off an upset against the AFC North leaders.

The bet we really love in the Baltimore Ravens vs Jacksonville Jaguars Week 12 NFL odds is under 43.5 points. On top of the fact that the under is 6-1 in the Ravens’ last seven games overall, there is strong potential for some wet weather on Sunday that should make it even more difficult to put points on the board.

  • Pick: Under 43.5 Points (-110), 1 Unit; Ravens Moneyline (-190), 1.5 Units
  • 2022 NFL Season Picks Record: 2-2, +0.26 units
