For Week 4 we’re backing the Eagles to stay undefeated and the Chargers to reach. 500 with a win to start off our NFL parlay and teasers. We’ve also made picks on the 49ers, Browns and Chiefs in our Sunday NFL picks.

NFL Parlay Picks Today

We’re swinging back and forth with our parlay and teaser picks here going 0-2 Week 1, 2-0 in Week 2 and then back to 0-2 in Week 3. As I’m sure they did for many bettors, the Jags and Cowboys blew up our picks last week. Season record: 2-4. -2.02 units.

NFL Week 4 Parlay Picks

In this week’s NFL parlay predictions we have two home teams favored by fair margins with the Chargers -5.5 and Eagles -8.5.

Raiders vs Chargers

• Pick: Chargers

Each team won at home last season in two close games with LA winning 24-19 and Las Vegas winning 27-20. In recent years, only one of the past eight games between them have been decided by more than seven points.

This season, the Chargers have been involved in all close games and finally turned one into a win in Week 3, topping the Vikings 28-24. Previously they lost 27-24 and 36-24. The 28.7 PPG that LA is averaging ranks fifth overall.

The Raiders too, have mostly been involved in close games, losing 23-18 to Pittsburgh last week and beating Denver 17-16 in Week 1. But those two teams are not top offensive units. When they went up against the Bills who are second in PPG, they got boat raced 38-10.

With Jimmy Garoppolo the Raiders weren’t putting up points. Now Jimmy G is questionable with a concussion and I wouldn’t expect Brian Hoyer to change that. The Raiders give up the second-most plays for per game and if you give Justin Herbert that many plays to move the ball this Chargers offense should do enough to put this one out of reach. The Chargers average the fifth-most PPG and Herbert is third in passing yards, first in completion percentage and has yet to throw an interception.

Commanders vs Eagles

• Pick: Eagles

Sam Howell and the Washington Commanders finally got their wake up call. They certainly weren’t expected to do too much this season but found themselves 2-0 after wins over the Cardinals and Broncos. Now not that much was expected of either of those teams either, yet the Commanders only edged out four and two-point wins respectively over those teams.

Well in Week 3 the good times came crashing to a halt as Howell threw four interceptions and only 170 yards, while Washington also lost a fumble and they got run off their own field 37-3 to Buffalo.

The Eagles may not have come out on fire to start the season but still had five and six-point wins over the Patriots and Vikings, before going on the road Monday and handing the Bucs a 25-11 loss.

Washington did go into Philly last year and win but the Eagles have won 9/12 recent meetings. The Eagles’ defense isn’t as fierce this season but Howell has been sacked an NFL-high 19 times and I just don’t see him having much success here.

NFL Teaser Picks Today

NFL Week 4 Teaser Picks

Sports betting sites allow for many options when it comes to how to bet on NFL games. One of those ways is to add or substract points to an NFL spread to create what is called a teaser. You can essentially do the same thing by taking alternate spread numbers for each game of your choosing which is an option at many books, including DraftKings.

In our NFL teaser picks this week we’re moving the 49ers down from -14 to -6.5 and the Chiefs from -9.5 to -2.5. And then we’re moving the Browns from a -1 favorite all the way to +4.5 underdogs.

Cardinals vs 49ers

• 49ers -6.5

The Cardinals, have surprisingly … been … respectable. Maybe more than respectable. They kept it close with Washington. Raced out to a 20-0 lead over the Giants before imploding and losing 31-28 and then shocked the world with a convincing 28-16 win over Dallas. So maybe they aren’t as bad as we all thought they’d be. And if this were against anyone else, I may stay away from betting against them this week.

But this week is the 49ers. San Fran are huge 14-point home favorites in the NFL betting odds for Week 4.

The 49ers haven’t lost a regular season game since last October versus the Chiefs. Since then, they’re 15-1, only losing in the NFC Championship game. This season, they’re 3-0 and have won by 23, 7 and 18 points. They’ll be at home, on extra rest having played on TNF last week and versus a Cards team they crushed by scores of 38-10 and 38-13 last year.

Ravens vs Browns

• Pick: Browns +4.5

I know you’re not “supposed” to be be teasing through a zero but this is about finding teams and numbers that can win our bets. Cleveland likely can win this game and even cover the 1.5 point they’re favored by right now at DraftKings.

But this is a divisional rivalry and anything can happen between two teams that usually play things close. Last year Cleveland won 13-3 at home and the Baltimore won 23-20 at home as well. The last five games between the teams have been decided by 10, 3, 2, 6 and 5 points. The last four have been won by the home team.

It’s hard to tell what the Ravens are. They beat Houston 25-9 but the Texans have a rookie QB and the score was 7-6 at half. A road win over division rival Cincy is good, though Joe Burrow is struggling with an injury. Losing in overtime to Colts backup QB Gardner Minshew at home last week as heavy favorites casts serious doubt into their status as a serious contender in the Super Bowl 58 odds.

We do know that the Browns defense is elite. They rank first in PPG at just 10.7, first in passing yards allowed per game at 111.7 and second in rushing yards allowed per game at 52.

The Browns should win but Browns at +4.5 will be making it into our Week 4 NFL teaser picks.

Chiefs vs Jets

• Pick: Chiefs -2.5

This shouldn’t take too much of an explanation. Zach Wilson is bad. Real bad. He has the lowest completion percentage in the league, and has completed only 44 passes for 467 yards with 2 TDs and 4 INTS in three games. The Jets as a whole rank last in PPG at 14.0.

Patrick Mahomes is not bad. Quite the opposite. Nor is the Chiefs offense (9th PPG) or defense (4th PPG allowed).

The Jets defense did enough to hold the Patriots to 15 points last week and still lost 15-10. They were blown out 30-10 by Dallas in Week 2. The Chiefs are just as capable of hanging another crooked score on New York in Week 4.
