The Cleveland Browns have already come to Houston once this season and put a beating on the Texans. If it does, which players should you bet in the Browns vs Texans props?
As Houston and Cleveland renew hostilities on Saturday in an AFC Wild Card Weekend playoff matchup, it’s worth noting that Texans QB1 CJ Stroud missed that previous contest while in NFL concussion protocol.
Will his return to the field impact how you choose to wager on the Browns vs Texans player props for this game?

Browns vs Texans vs Props #1: David Njoku Receptions
Set with a reception prop total of 5.5, Cleveland TE David Njoku has gone over that number of catches in each of his last four games and in seven of the past eight games.
In fact, the reliable Browns TE has exceeded his reception total in 15 of the last 17 games he’s played.
- Browns vs Texans Prop Picks: David Njoku over 5.5 receptions EVEN (1 unit) Â
Browns vs Texans Props #2: CJ Stroud Passing TDs
As noted above, Texans QB Stroud is assigned a passing TD prop total of 1.5 for this game. He’s thrown for at least two TDs in six of the eight home games he’s played during his rookie NFL season.
The only problem with that data is the two games in which he didn’t get to two TD passes were Stroud’s two most recent home games. However, he did throw for a pair of TDs in last week’s AFC South-clinching win at Indianapolis.
The Texans have run successful plays on just 36.6% of their rush attempts this season. That’s third-worst in the NFL. Meanwhile, the Browns have allowed successful plays on just 36.9% of rush attempts against their defense this season. That’s tied for second-best in the league.
In other words, if Houston is going to win this game in the Browns vs Texans picks, Stroud will need to air it out.
- Browns vs Texans Prop Picks: CJ Stroud over 1.5 TD passes +115 (1 unit)

Browns vs Texans Props #3: Amari Cooper Anytime Touchdown
When Cleveland visited Houston in Week 16, Cooper absolutely eviscerated the Texans secondary. He hauled in 11 of 15 targets for a franchise single-game record of 265 yards in receptions.
As well, Cooper scored a pair of touchdowns during the game. He’s found the end zone three times in his last two games after scoring just once through his previous 10 games.
Cooper has missed the past two games with a heel injury, but all signs are pointing toward his return to action in Wild Card Weekend. That’s good news for Cooper anytime TD bettors in the Browns vs Texans props, but not so welcome words for Houston DBs to hear.
