The Cincinnati Bengals will try for payback when they visit the Pittsburgh Steelers at 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday in an AFC North matchup at Acrisure Stadium.

The Bengals (5-4/2-3 road) lost to the Steelers 23-20 in overtime in Week 1 at home as part of an 0-2 start to the season. Cincinnati, which had a bye last week, has won five of seven games since, including whipping the Carolina Panthers 42-21 on Nov. 6.

The Steelers (3-6/2-2 home) beat the New Orleans Saints 20-10 last week after losing consecutive games.

It should be a blustery day on the banks of the Allegheny River. The forecast calls for a high of 31, mostly sunny and west wind at 10-14 mph with gusts up to 26.

Bengals vs Steelers Recent History

The Steelers defense produced five turnovers and sacked Joe Burrow, who has +2000 NFL MVP odds, seven times in the Week 1 matchup that snapped a three-game losing streak against the Bengals. Before that, Pittsburgh had won 11 straight over Cincinnati.

Bengals Offense vs Steelers Defense

The Bengals offensive line will obviously need to do a better job of protecting Burrow this time around against the Steelers’ front seven.

Steelers outside linebacker TJ Watt, last year’s NFL Defensive Player of the Year, suffered a torn left pectoral late in that game. He returned last week and the Steelers, who were 1-6 in Watt’s absence, held the Saints to 186 yards.

Bengals running back Joe Mixon is coming game off his best game of the season. He rushed for 153 yards and four touchdowns on 22 carries in the win over the Panthers and finished with a season-high 211 yards from scrimmage and five TDs.

Mixon became one of six players in the Super Bowl era to have at least 200 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns in the same game.

He has averaged 112 yards in the Bengals’ last three games against the Steelers.

Steelers Offense vs Bengals Defense

Last Sunday marked the first time Steelers rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett won a game in which he both started and finished. He completed 18 of 30 passes for 199 yards and added 51 yards rushing but was sacked six times.

The Steelers took some pressure off Pickett, whose NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year odds are +3000. by rushing for a season-high 217 yards. They had four different players have a carry of at least 20 yards for the first time since 2011.

Najee Harris led the way with 99 yards in 20 attempts. The second-year pro also had a 36-yard run, the second-longest of his career.

It will be interesting to see if Pickett begins connecting more often with wide receiver Dionte Johnson, who has yet to score a touchdown this season. Johnson had eight TD catches last year.

Bengals vs Steelers Injury Report

The Bengals will be without star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase (hip) for a third straight game. Safety Dax Hill (shoulder) and defensive tackle Josh Tupou (calf) have also been ruled out.

Nose tackle D.J. Reader (knee) and safety Brandon Wilson (knee) practiced this week. Both could be activated off injured reserve.

Steelers cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon (hamstring) will miss the game. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (appendectomy) and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi (knee) are likely to return after missing last week’s game.

Bengals vs Steelers Prediction

The Bengals haven’t won consecutive games in Pittsburgh since 2005 and 2006. Look for them to pull off that feat this time as they come to Acrisure Stadium with revenge on their minds.

Pick: Bengals -3.5 (-110)

Season record: 3-3 (-0.3 units) ATS
