In a matchup of two teams struggling after adding high-profile quarterbacks in the offseason, the Indianapolis Colts and Matt Ryan visit the Denver Broncos and Russell Wilson at 8:20 ET on Thursday Night Football at Empower Field at Mile High. Will either quarterback be worth a bet in tonight’s Colts vs Broncos props? Read on for our top TNF props here.

Ryan is fourth in the league with 1,125 passing yards but also has eight turnovers and nine fumbles in four games. That could be a recipe to look for some Broncos team defensive props tonight.

The Colts (1-2-1) are 32nd and last in the NFL in scoring offense with 14.3 points a game. The Broncos (2-2) are averaging 16.5, which ranks 29th. Will this lead to more unders or overs in tonight’s best prop bets?

TNF Prop: Russell Wilson TD Passes

When Wilson was with the Seattle Seahawks, the fans implored coach Pete Carroll to “let Russ cook.” Wilson has been on a slow boil for most of his first season with the Seahawks and rookie coach Nathaniel Hackett, though.

Through four games, Wilson has completed 61.1% of his passes for 980 yards and four touchdowns with one interception. He still has +6000 NFL MVP odds.

Wilson showed signs last week of the form that made a nine-time Pro Bowl selection in 10 seasons with the Seahawks. He threw two TD passes in a 32-23 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, the first time he had multiple scoring throws in a game this season, and his 237 yards passing were his most since Week 1.

Wilson’s touchdown passes went 5 yards to Courtland Sutton and 20 yards to Jerry Jeudy.

Russell Wilson Game-by-Game Passing Stats

Opponent Completions Attempts Yards Touchdowns Interceptions
9/12 Seahawks 29 42 340 1 0
9/18 Texans 14 31 219 1 1
9/25 49ers 20 33 184 0 0
10/2 Raiders 17 25 237 2 0

The Broncos have been equally mediocre both running (18th in the NFL) and passing (19th) through the first four weeks. However, Denver is likely to throw more now that top running back Javonte Williams is out for the season with a knee injury.

The Colts are 10th in pass defense but this still feels like the time that Hackett will let Russ cook.

Pick: Russell Wilson Over 1.5 TD Passes (+120), 1 unit

TNF Prop: Nyheim Hines Rushing Yards

The Colts will be without star running back Jonathan Taylor, who has toe and ankle injuries. It is a big blow for Indianapolis as Taylor led the NFL in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns last season.

Into the void steps Nyheim Hines. He has carried just eight times for 11 yards this season.

Hines was better in 2021 when he also saw limited action. He averaged 4.9 yards a carry while rushing for 276 yards on 56 attempts.

The Broncos are fourth in the league in total defense. However, Denver has some vulnerability against the run as its stands 18th, giving Hines a chance to get his season untracked with more work tonight for your Thursday Night Football props.

  • The Pick: Nyheim Hines Over 36.5 Rushing Yards (-115), 0.5 units

Colts vs Broncos Touchdown Scorer Props

Player Odds to Score 1st TD Odds to Score Any TD
Melvin Gordon III (DEN) +500 -150
Courtland Sutton (DEN) +600 -115
Nyheim Hines (IND) +800 +150
Jerry Jeudy (DEN) +800 +130
Mike Boone (DEN) +900 +155
Michael Pittman Jr. (IND) +1000 +190
Deon Jackson (IND) +1000 +160
Latavius Murray (DEN) +1600 +300
Ashton Dulin (IND) +1800 +333
Russell Wilson (DEN) +2000 +320

Melvin Gordon is the clear favorite to find the endzone in TNF props at -150 odds. Courtland Sutton is also odds-on at -115 odds.

Jerry Jeudy Anytime Touchdown Odds

As mentioned earlier, there are reasons to believe the Broncos could open their passing game this week.

Wilson and speedy wide receiver Jerry Jeudy are still developing a connection. Jeudy has 11 receptions this season for 183 yards.

HIs four catches against the Raiders last week matched his season high, though. It is a promising sign he and Wilson are getting more comfortable together and that Jeudy is worth a shot in your props and Colts vs Broncos picks.

Jeudy has also caught two of Wilson’s four TD passes this year. The first was a 67-yarder against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1.

  • Pick: Jerry Jeudy Anytime TD Scorer +130 (0.5 units)

TNF Prop Bet Record: Week 4. 2-1, Overall: 7-8 (-1.6 units)
