  • There’s some significant names populating the Las Vegas Raiders vs LA Rams inactive and injury reports for the Week 14 Thursday Night Football game
  • For the Rams, QB Matthew Stafford (concussion), WR Cooper Kupp (ankle) and DT Aaron Donald (ankle) are out
  • Raiders RB and NFL rushing leader Josh Jacobs (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for the game

The visiting Las Vegas Raiders (5-7, 6-6 ATS) are significant 6.5-point road favorites over the Los Angeles Rams (3-9, 3-8-1 ATS) in the NFL Week 14 TNF game. Considering the players who will be missing when the defending Super Bowl champion Rams take the field, seeing that line in the NFL odds is entirely understandable.

The Rams will be without QB1 Matthew Stafford (concussion). Both Stafford and All-Pro WR Cooper Kupp, who led the NFL in receptions, receiving yardage and touchdown catches last season, are on injured reserve. Kupp will be out another month after undergoing surgery on a right high ankle sprain.

As well, DT Aaron Donald, the three-time NFL DPOY, is out with an ankle injury.

Three defensive starters are out for the Raiders. However, perhaps the key injury worth watching on the Las Vegas roster is RB Josh Jacobs. The NFL rushing leader with 1303 yards, Jacobs is questionable with a quadriceps injury.

Kickoff at SoFi Stadium is set for 8:15 pm ET on Thursday, December 1. In the Raiders vs Rams picks, Las Vegas is 3-0 both straight up and against the spread over their last three games, but an NFL-worst 0-3 ATS as a road favorite. The Rams are 2-5 ATS at home this season.

It’s Las Vegas that is drawing the backing of the people in both spread and moneyline wagering in the Raiders vs Rams public betting splits.

Las Vegas Raiders Injury Report

The Raiders are ailing on defense. LDT Andrew Billings (fibula), SLB Jayon Brown (hand) and LCB Rock Ya-Sin (knee) are the three starters who are out. Backup CB Tyler Hall (back) is questionable.

On offense, WR Hunter Renfrow (oblique) and TE Darren Waller (hamstring) are on IR. Backup TE Jesper Horsted (concussion) is out.

Los Angeles Rams Injury Report

Los Angeles is 0-6 SU and 1-4-1 ATS in the past six games, so the odds favoring the Raiders makes sense. Factoring in the lengthy Rams injury list, it’s even more logical.

Although he’s cleared concussion protocol, the Rams announced that they won’t be activating Stafford for this game. Anticipation is that Kupp will be missing for at least another month. Hurt in the loss to Kansas City two weeks ago, Donald is missing game action for the first time in his NFL career.

John Wolford will be starting at QB, even though he’s listed as questionable with a neck injury. WR Allen Robinson (foot) is out. WR Lance McCutcheon (shoulder) and Brandon Powell (illness) are questionable.

On defense, SLB Terrell Lewis (back) is out and LCB Troy Hill (groin) is questionable. Backup CB David Long (groin) and LILB Travin Howard (hip) are out.

How Could Injuries Affect Raiders vs Rams Lines?

There’s been some good news for the Raiders at RB. Word is Jacobs will be playing. He’s been practicing, albeit in a limited role. If he’s on a any sort of snap count, backups Ameer Abdullah (hamstring) and Brandon Bolden (calf) have both seen their injury designation from earlier this week removed.

The prospect of Jacobs running against an LA defensive front minus Donald is certainly intriguing from a Raiders vs Rams player props point of view. Last week missing Donald, the LA defense allowed a season-high 171 rushing yards in a 27-23 home-field loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Wolford’s neck injury kept him out the past three games. Third-stringer Bryce Perkins went 0-2 starting in his place. If Wolford is slowed again, the Rams have added QB Baker Mayfield from the waiver wire and say they’re prepared to put him in. The 2018 first overall pick in the NFL Draft was cut loose this week by the Carolina Panthers.

Hill has also seen limitations during practice this week. Making that even more problematic is the fact that Long is Hill’s backup on the LA depth chart. Powell is also the top kick and punt return man, so any restrictions in his role would hurt the Rams on offense and special teams.

Minus Lewis, Howard and Jake Hummel (hip), who’s on IR, is leaving the Rams suiting up just six healthy LB.
