Los Angeles Rams fans have to be excited about the notion of a playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This will be the third postseason meeting between the two teams. Both previous times, the Rams were winners and they went on to play in the Super Bowl.

On the other hand, points have proven to be at a premium when these two clubs clash in the playoffs. In the 1979 NFC Championship game at Tampa Bay, the Rams won 9-0. The 1999 NFC Championship game saw the Rams take an 11-6 verdict from the Bucs.

Which players will exceed expectations in this one? Which will underwhelm? As the Rams and Buccaneers clash and complete a trilogy of NFL postseason contests, there are plenty of player props worthy of consideration in this game.

All odds taken Jan. 22nd at DraftKings

Both quarterbacks have been lighting it up all season long and that isn’t expected to change in this game. Tom Brady’s over/under for passing yards is set at 293.5, while Matthew Stafford’s is listed at 280.5.

Rams wideout Cooper Kupp turned the NFL receiving triple crown this season, leading in receptions, reception yardage and receiving TDs. He’s been assigned a massive number this weekend. Kupp’s over/under on receiving yards is 100.5.

The Buccaneers are 2.5-point favorites, with the Rams vs Buccaneers odds seeing the total set at an even 48.

Matthew Stafford Will Air It Out

In the Rams’ 34-24 Week 3 win over Tampa Bay, Stafford threw for 343 yards. Tampa Bay was #3 in the NFL at stopping the run during the regular season (92.5 yards per game).

That figures to force Stafford to the air. If Tampa Bay gets ahead on the scoreboard, it will only serve to amplify the need for the Rams to throw the football.

  • Pick: Matthew Stafford over 280.5 passing yards (-115); 1 unit

Tom Brady Will Look For Rob Gronkowski

The loss of Antonio Brown and injury to Chris Goodwin is limiting Brady’s receiving targets. In this time of need, he’s turning to an old friend.

Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski has been targeted 26 times in the last three games. He’s averaging 6.3 receptions per game in that span.

  • Pick: Rob Gronkowski over 5.5 receptions (-155); 1 unit

Rams vs Buccaneers Scoring Props

Player Odds to Score First TD Odds to Score Any TD
Cooper Kupp (LAR) +600 -135
Leonard Fournette (TB) +650 -120
Rob Gronkowski (TB) +750 +100
Mike Evans (TB) +850 +110

Kupp is given the best odds to score a TD in this game at -135. At +600, he’s also the chalk to find the end zone first during the contest.

Leonard Fournette is Tampa Bay’s best best but that might be a bit subjective. He’s -120 to score a TD and +650 to get the first TD. But the Buccaneers’ leading rusher (817 yards) was just activated from IR for this game.

Who Are the Best Bets to Score a Touchdown?

Bucs WR Mike Evans has caught four TD passes in the last three games.

Tampa Bay RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn has scored three TDs in the past four games. Two of them came on runs of two yards or less.

  • Picks: Ke’Shawn Vaughn to Score First (+900), 1 unit; Mike Evans to Score Anytime (+110), 1 unit
