For the third straight season, the Minnesota Vikings will travel to CenturyLink Field to play the Seattle Seahawks. But for the first time ever, Kirk Cousins should actually be able to hear the playcalls coming in, as one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL remains empty due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Will a quieter CLink help the Vikings’ odds to get their first win against Seattle since 2009? Or will Russell Wilson torch Minnesota’s D like he has so many others? Here’s some of the players we’re expecting to perform on Sunday Night Football. (See our Vikings vs Seahawks odds for other betting options.)

Can Minny Keep It On The Ground?
In their first two games of the season, the Vikings fell behind quickly thanks to one of the league’s leakiest defenses. That, in turn, impacted how often Cousins could turn around and hand it off to the team’s best weapon, running back Dalvin Cook.

But Mike Zimmer’s young secondary is slowly improving and the Vikings are climbing the ranks, now sitting at 13th in defensive DVOA. And when Minny’s D keeps them in the mix, that means a healthy dose of Cook on the ground. The running back has totaled 22 and 27 carries in his last two outings.
Against a Seahawks team that is allowing the most yards per game in the league, Cook and the Vikings top-five ground game should be able to keep the clock moving, helping this game stay close and improving the chances at OVERs on these wagers.
Pick: 1 unit on Cook OVER 19.5 carries (+100) and OVER 74.5 yards rushing (-113)

Jefferson Starship
Minnesota’s rookie receiver had his breakout game two weeks ago against the Titans (remember when they used to play games?). He followed up that 175 yard performance with another 103 yard outing against Houston. Averaging over 21 yards per catch, Jefferson is bringing back the vertical element to Minny’s passing game that left with Stefon Diggs.

Jefferson has a chance to make a real name for himself on the national stage, going up against a Seahawks D that has allowed the second most explosive passing plays in the league. Look for him to find paydirt in this one at least once.
Pick: 1 unit on Justin Jefferson to score a TD anytime (+145)
