NFL DFS Week 5 Lineup: DraftKings Picks for Sunday

Week 5 of the NFL season is here, and plenty of opportunities remain on the DraftKings Fantasy main slate. This lineup blends high-volume stars, affordable upside plays, and a few lower-priced options to free up salary for the top of the roster.

The lineup comes in at exactly $50,000, leaving no salary on the table. Here are my DraftKings NFL best daily fantasy picks for Sunday’s Week 5 slate.

NFL DFS Week 5 DraftKings Lineup

Jacoby Brissett – QB, $5,500

Brissett is an appealing salary-saving quarterback at $5,500. He threw for 277 yards and a touchdown in Arizona’s Week 1 win over the Chargers before struggling against Seattle.

The matchup with Detroit gives him a potential bounce-back spot, while his rushing ability adds a little extra DraftKings upside.

Christian McCaffrey – RB, $8,200

McCaffrey is the premium piece of this lineup and brings one of the highest ceilings on the slate. He had 10 carries for 68 yards and five receptions in Week 1, followed by two rushing touchdowns against Miami in Week 2.

Seattle is ranked 15th in the screenshot’s RB matchup rating, but McCaffrey’s receiving role gives him multiple paths to a big DraftKings score.

D’Andre Swift – RB, $6,200

Swift has already shown a massive ceiling this season, rushing for 124 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries in Week 1. He also caught a pass for 10 yards.

His $6,200 salary makes him an attractive value play, particularly with Chicago facing Green Bay.

Malik Nabers – WR, $6,300

Nabers is coming off a disappointing Week 2, but his Week 1 performance showed why he’s worth considering at this price. He caught six passes for 69 yards against Dallas.

The Washington matchup is rated 30th in the screenshot, giving Nabers a favorable setup to get back on track.

Rome Odunze – WR, $4,700

Odunze provides much-needed salary relief at $4,700. He has recorded at least two receptions in each of Chicago’s first two games, including 52 yards in Week 1 and 43 in Week 2.

The volume isn’t elite yet, but his big-play ability makes him an interesting cheap tournament option.

Amon-Ra St. Brown – WR, $7,900

St. Brown is the other major spend-up in this lineup. He opened the season with 10 catches, 67 yards and two touchdowns, then exploded for 142 yards and two scores against Buffalo.

That’s already 19 receptions, 209 yards and four touchdowns through two games, giving him one of the strongest early-season ceilings at wide receiver.

Pat Freiermuth – TE, $3,900

Freiermuth is primarily a salary play. He’s already found the end zone once this season and caught five passes for 46 yards in Week 1.

At $3,900, he doesn’t need a huge game to provide value. The Colts matchup also ranks 16th against tight ends in the screenshot.

Juwan Johnson – FLEX, $4,500

Johnson is one of the most intriguing values in the lineup. He has caught 15 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns through three games, including eight receptions and two scores in Week 3.

The matchup with Minnesota is rated fourth in the screenshot, making Johnson an especially attractive option at just $4,500.

Browns DST – $2,800

Cleveland’s defense gives this lineup another inexpensive option. The Browns are priced at just $2,800 and face the Jets, with the matchup rated 12th in the screenshot.

At this price, the goal isn’t necessarily to project a monster defensive performance. A few sacks, turnovers or a defensive touchdown could quickly make Cleveland one of the better values on the slate.
