NFL Player Props Week 1 – Sunday’s Best NFL Prop Bets (Sep. 7)

• We have to start looking for moves for the NFL Week 1 slate on September 7th
• It’s Week 1, so the books really have no idea what they are doing right now
• Getting bets in on Friday is my favorite strategy, and it’s no different for this week

We’re back! Last season, we made good coin dropping plays on Friday evening, so the smartest thing we can do is run it back. Besides getting great prices, the best part of throwing down on Friday is the fact that by the time Sunday gets here, we’ve forgotten we made some of these bets. It’s basically like Christmas every Sunday when we look at our accounts and see that we’ve got multiple moves that are all in at a better price than what’s available. Lucky for us, the Friday before Week 1 is always the easiest. Always. The books are guessing when they make some of these lines because they are generally based on the prior season’s data. All we have to do is know ball and we can make a fortune. Feels easy.

Jameson Williams Might Set a Record

Week 1 is all about betting on talent or situations. Or both. We don’t always get both, but in the case of Jameson Williams, we did. It’s a beautiful thing, too. We’re talking about a guy with all the talent in the world, moving into a situation that should be better for his production.

The fantasy bros have been on this for a while now, but it looks like the books haven’t caught on yet.

Here’s the thing, Jamo is nasty. Everyone already knows that. But over the last couple of years, he’s been primarily a long-ball threat. That doesn’t seem like the case anymore. Even at the end of last season, he seemed to be running a variety of routes, which should lead to more targets. Fast-forward to now, when the coaches are saying that he’ll be featured more, and we may have something.

On top of being “featured”, Jamo is going to line up against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. We’re talking about the same Vikings’ team that allowed 4,400+ passing yards last season. 3100 of those yards were hung by wide receivers. On top of that, they gave up the most receptions to the wide receiver position last season. Let’s not overthink this one, people. Jamo is catching at least four passes.

David Njoku Won’t Be Denied

Obviously, we’re not just trying to get one win from this article. We’re coming for a sweep, and we’re not leaving without one. It’s just the way it has to be. Lucky for us, David Njoku is playing football on Sunday, and he’s got a great opponent.

On top of all that, he’ll have Joe Flacco throwing him footballs in this game.

Njoku didn’t spend a ton of time with Flacco under center back in 2023, but when he did, he was busy. In three of his last four games with Flacco slinging it, Njoku went for 90+ receiving yards. He was targeted all the time, and I have a hard time believing that will change this time around.

If that wasn’t good enough, the Browns are playing the Cincinnati Bengals this week. Last season, those same Bengals allowed more receptions to the tight end position than any other team in the NFL. Because of that, they were one of only four teams that allowed over 1100+ yards to the position. My guess is the Bengals’ offense scores a bit on the Browns, which forces Flacco to spin it a little more than he wants to. When that happens, Njoku will be there to help him out. Feels easy.
